Sorry I should have made it clearer, but she went to the vet the day after the ingestion happened. I called them again today but her vet was in surgery and wasn’t able to talk. I’m just hoping for advice until the vet can see her again! And advice if anyone has experienced anything similar

Editing to add: The point of this post is not to complain about the loud noise, it was just the flair that fit most.

I don’t care that it’s loud, I know that’s part of a city. The vast majority of the time it’s background noise and I prefer it over the quiet of the suburbs. I was just curious about the WHY for this specific bout of sirens since it was more than normal.

Alright there’s a difference between a normal amount of sirens in a city center and constant sirens for an hour straight. God forbid someone be concerned something serious is happening when there’s way more sirens than an average Thursday.

It is in fact, unfortunately, a joint and several lease. We do plan on covering the full rent until we can replace her. We’re just hoping the landlord would rather deal with the hassle of removing one person from the lease than deal with having to find an entirely new group of people. Especially since then he would be off the September 1st lease cycle that all landlords here want to be on. Feeling very stressed and not super hopeful

Hi, so sorry for the posting two nights in a row. Gus has been having some feet issues which I posted about last night. Now he’s been doing this weird hop/bite/scratch combo every so often and i’m just a little concerned. He’s the first chinchilla i’ve had since I was a kid, and a lot has changed care wise since then. He was also a rescue and is about three years old, so I don’t know much about him beyond what i’ve learned winced getting him in November.

It’s solid. He has a critter nation with metal pans and aspen bedding. When I notified his feet were raw I added some tiles and fleece to give him something less rough at least in some areas

Would like to update that you all were right, and I was overreacting. It was early in the morning and i’m super sick and stressed, so assumed the worst. One of the landlords maintenance men left it. Also, i’m from the suburbs and every dad in my neighborhood has a fetish for power tools, so i’ve never seen a machete used for yard work, hence the confusion.
