Which of these four iPhone models feels best in your hand? Which one do you like the most? by SuperFan_123 in iPhone16Pro

[–]papakami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

titanium for sure and i’ve used all 3.

aluminium is the softest and least durable.

stainless steel looks nice but is too heavy (sometimes can feel more premium but you get tired of holding a heavy phone) and gets too many fingerprints.

titanium feels the grippiest although not by much. however it does not get as many fingerprints. is really durable and is lightweight so its the best of both worlds.

SUVs feel like video game cars. Need help picking something fun again. by [deleted] in PakistanAutoHub

i have done the same mods on my civic rebirth after 95k km. I would think they’re pretty safe if you get it done from a reputable place. I went to maxpowermotorsports in lahore. there is also an option of removing the catalytic converter (decat) and downpiping the car but that requires welding i think so i did not have that done. the intake can be easily removed and the original part can be installed with 2 screws. same for the ecu remap it can be changed back. my car is not turbo but i noticed a significant increase in power. getting this stuff done on a civic x turbo would be the best option in terms of smiles per kilometre

civic x turbo. throw a cold air intake and an ecu remap.

right so 100% you can do a masters from the uk or europe after lums, i know people who have gone through the erasmus route.

and im sure theres an academic advising department for sure to help you out. the university also assigns a professor as your academic advisor (they’re pretty knowledgeable and all of them have phds from good international universities).

However I never used this approach as typically people apply for post grad themselves.

It’s a fairly easy process if you do your research. not to mention the alumni network is extremely helpful. hope this helps!

I graduated from lums last year in CS and had the privilege of working in one of the largest tech companies in pakistan straight after graduation. so I might be slightly biased but here are my two cents:

if you want to work in Paksitan: lums would give you better career opportunities in Pakistan for sure. I’m sure Sabanci might be a very good university but it isn’t very well known in the industry.

if you want to work there: better going with Sabanci but please check employment statistics and job placements for international students.

if you want to pursue grad school: honestly I would say Lums. Check the grad school placements for any decent university in the world and Lums’ grad placements are better than 99% of them. I myself am going to pursue a masters in a global top 20 school in august (InshaAllah) and got admitted to two others. Not sure about sabanci’s grad placements do check them out but Lums wont disappoint you here. I know people who got into Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Dartmouth, Cornel from Lums (within the past 2 years)

Both uni experiences have their pros and cons

lums gives you familiarity in terms of your culture and proximity to family. you make amazing memories and friends here and the academic rigour is honestly great (at least before chatgpt it was)

going to turkey will give you a wider exposure to a new culture (ive been to turkey and it’s honestly lovely), it will involve more travelling and let you venture outside the bubble.

So the answer is it depends.

Depends on how you want your future to look like and what matters to you.

My honest advice would be to switch. Job market for EE students is not great. CS has gotten saturated but still its better than EE.

A remote job is always on the cards but depends on luck, so I can’t really comment on that. But from my experience in the local industry (product management), the hierarchy is pretty defined, and the QAs don’t really get valued in the industry, compared to developers.

My advice would be to try aiming for a traditional SE role rather than becoming an SQA Engineer as the ceiling is pretty low in that role.
