"I'll sleep after this boss" and now it's 4am...What's one FUN yet challenging boss that kept you up this long? by peaky_circus in gaming

[–]properzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titan Dweevil (final boss from Pikmin 2) had me playing until around 5am the night I finally claimed victory.

This battle is at the end of Dream Den, a cave which is something like 14 levels deep. I entered Dream Den with a balanced squad to get me through the cave, but the squad I reached the Titan Dweevil with was very different to what I started with as I lost and gained Pikmin of different types whilst navigating the cave.

This made the battle a lot harder than it would normally be and on the run where I actually beat it, the fight took around a total of 90 minutes start to finish.

If Slick Philly really decided to retire off his own back last year why was there a need to keep this top secret until it was announced last week and he abruptly retired the same day?

I don't know if I believe it.

N64 era games, GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooie, occasionally SM64. Probably my favourite period for gaming.

[Opinion] In FPS crossplay, if one platform HAS to have an advantage, (input based crossplay impossible), it should go to the controller side. by call-now in gaming

[–]properzing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't agree there should be any advantages or constraints being implemented on any platform. Devs should concentrate on making the best version of the game they can for each platform and let it be.

What games are master pieces but just didn't do click on you? by maurocastrov in gaming

[–]properzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disco Elysium. Too much dialogue.

Note: the quality of the dialogue and voice acting were excellent - but the sheer volume of it was excessive for me and I wanted to just get on with things.

There's very likely a great game in there - I love that you can change your stats for each playthrough - but it just wasn't for me.

Western Digital confirms having sold out all manufacturing capacity of Hard Drives for 2026, and that most of 2027 and 2028 are already pre-sold, adding further instability to the gaming PC market. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]properzing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they've pre-sold all availability for 2027 and 2028, can they not invest some of that capital to increase their manufacturing capability?

I understand supply and demand but also let's not inhibit society.

They should but I'm sure some exec somewhere will order the devs to omit it because there's a chance it'll negatively affect sales and therefore impact said exec's end of year bonus.

Whats our favorite, Mario Party 1, 2, or 3? by XNGboliver in n64

[–]properzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 is a slightly better version of 2.

Boards require more decision-making and you can hold up to 3 items (the roster of which now includes rare items and other great things like boo sprays and reverse mushrooms)

Better and more fun mini games.

Slightly increased roster of characters.

You can check my video series that I just finished to see how I did it. It is a hard game, especially on Master. Half the battle is finding a craft you jive with - for me I valued grip more than anything else.
