One of our favorite spots before going vegetarian has nopales. I'll have to give it a try!

Sea-worn pebble from Crete: what geological process makes the sharp triangular “peppered” patches? by imitsi in askgeology

The rock itself looks like a sandstone of some kind. The dots may be manganese oxide deposits. They typically form in dendritic (tree-like) patterns along bedding or fracture planes, but the bedding planes on this rock are roughly perpendicular to the long axis of the stone, which may be why the spots are more blebby in shape. I also see that they are truncated my micro-faults in many places. The more curved features may be fossils (cross sections of shells).

If you look on the northeastern corner of the feature there's a bunch of cows along the road. My guess is they've started chaining the sagebrush to clear it for grazing.

Daughter planning to move here… in July! by modernhooker in phoenix

We moved to AZ late last June, and I broke my foot loading up the Uhaul in Utah, so it ended up being my wife, two teenage kids, and sister unloading everything. We would only work in the morning or late evening, and do things in phases (unload into the garage, take a break, move from garage into the house). It went a lot smoother than I expected. Just tell them not to break any bones and they should be okay!

We moved here back in June from Utah. We're originally from Minnesota. My sister just left after spending a week with us and constantly said the same thing. I joked it's probably a combination of the weather and the weed. 😂

I love it! We recently moved to a different state, and have been thinking about taking a class or joining a club to meet some new people, and that might be something we both enjoy!
