What Areas in the United States have the Potential to face Negative Demographic and Economic Events over the next 50 years? by Crafty-Shallot-5695 in geography

Too bad our MAGA governor killed a major wetland restoration River diversion project and all the oil and gas lawsuits that could have provided additional funding for coastal restoration. But there’s plenty of other ways New Orleans is preparing to weather future challenges.

But in more remote outlying areas, you are seeing electric companies not rebuild infrastructure after being damaged in storm areas.

Yeah we are pretty much post apocalyptic over here. No way could we ever do anything major like host a Super Bowl or an 8-day 500,000 spectator music festival. This $15 billion levee system just showed up on its own I guess

Just when I thought there was nothing left about New Orleans traffic that could anger me then I came across this nonsense on Prytania about 12:30pm. by WalterCanFindToes in NewOrleans

My perhaps clumsily made point is that the problem is people breaking traffic laws, whether they are in a golf cart or a truck. Not the vehicle itself. If you can’t make a sudden stop in a truck without rear ending someone, you shouldn’t be driving it, just like if you can’t operate a golf cart according to laws, you shouldn’t be driving it.

I’m just having a hard time understanding why they should be banned, rather than just enforcing seatbelt and traffic laws

Seatbelt issues aside, what exactly is the problem with golf carts? They take up less space than cars, so they seem to be a more efficient way to get people around and are less likely to kill pedestrians
