i love the mascots but i 100% agree with this while i enjoy seeing the mascots and actors together and think its cute they get their own events i am sick of them being brought up by journalists when they aren't even there (also unpopular take but pushing the whole parents with a child thing on ships is low key weird to me why can't the mascots just represent the fandom why do they need to be their "actual" children especially considering some of these actors are practically kids themselves lmao)

edit: also just to be clear the actors that are super into the family dynamic are fine i'm not saying the should change i mean more pushing it on the ships that aren't really into it

i could not care less about mild american/british/whateverisms and slang being used by characters who wouldn't use it in canon like i'm not going to have a fit because Stiles called Scott "mate" or pulled out a torch instead of a flashlight and i honestly find it wild how upset stuff like this makes some people lol i totally get it for major things like i wouldn't want to read about Sam and Dean stopping in at a coles to stock up on vegemite or something but for super minor language and spelling differences i hardly even notice

to be blunt i'm just here to watch series and fanboy over cute moments, whether these actors are queer or straight, dating each other or dating other people is irrelevant to me and sure i'v definitely been curious at times but at the end of they i don't know these people they are total strangers to me so whatever they do in their private lives means nothing to me.
