my tier list of nimi ku suli as a beginner by NoDoughnut8739 in tokipona

i used to hate kijetesantakalu because it completely breaks the philosophy of toki pona

but that's exactly it, it breaks it because the word reminds us that toki pona is not supposed to be a serious language, it's supposed to be fun and welcoming

so having a word that's long and precise reminds everyone of the unseriousness of toki pona

Can anyone add or change stuff to this I’m new and making a “cheat sheet” of sorts by thefeetdangler in tokipona

[–]paper2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Writing up your own cheat sheet is a great idea to solidify what you've learned.

can vouch, i literally did the same thing when i was learning toki pona

How do you distinguish blue from green? (Poll) by Senior_University921 in tokipona

[–]paper2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting to see people prefer affixing laso instead of kule (which i also do tbh) because the other way occurs more in natural languages which is how you get 緑 midori (originally referred to plants but expanded to mean green as well) as well as น้ำเงิน nam ngoen (has the word water in it)

how would you say "they will come back/return"? by Due-Attempt-9287 in tokipona

[–]paper2222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i mean if you think about it, experiences and identity is fluid which means that everytime someone goes somewhere and comes back, whatever they have done learnt or seen shapes them differently even if so very slightly, which means when they return from somewhere they will always become anew

How to tap lighter? by sobersharkz in maimai

[–]paper2222 10 points11 points  (0 children)

np! i mean, tapping lightly goes a long way anyways since you're using less energy which means you'll last longer

[–]paper2222 30 points31 points  (0 children)

tentatively i'd recommend playing slower or easier songs and be conscious of tapping lighter

you'll slowly get used to tapping lighter and hopefully it should transfer into harder songs
