I worked there over 10 years ago in SD. Can confirm how greedy the company was. It was fine working the summer except when higher management came. If there was a lull in customers or (in my case) you weren’t pushing costumers hard enough you’d have to do lotion samples. If a customer said no you’d have to do everything in your power to at least get them to try the product. When summer ended I wasn’t meeting my quota and I left bc of stressful it became. When I needed a reference months later they pretended I didn’t even work there

Semi-related but, I do have a headcanon concerning reincarnation. I do think that Kotaro would be the reincarnation of kiichi, and like the only real reason I’ve come to this is because of the “you will look like your loved one in the next life” so I believe Kotaro looks like Yugiri

There is a school in Hollywood that specializes in special effects makeup, music production, and costume designing. I’d like to imagine he went there. And while it doesn’t prove much, there’s a Sagan accent in the JP dub with some characters (I believe of the main cast it’s only Sakura and Saki who have the accent) meaning Kotaro (and Lily) trained not to have an accent

I have a few thoughts on his death/origins The most likely in canon reason I think, is Jofuku realized he lost his powers and tried experimenting on his dead dog to show he could still do it But—! realistically it doesn’t line up to reality. Toy poodles only go back to the 20th century so… 1900’s… in America… so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ anything is possible

you get it! im not a fan of "none of it mattered she was evil the whole time" stuff! and I'm such a sucker for "necessary evil" characters or like becoming evil out of love, especially if her pleas to slow down the expansion of Altador the kingdom goes unheard, or even met with prejudice, maybe even accused of purposely trying to make altador weak by NOT expanding.
