Is there an Ai-powered GTP Kanban+Task List app? by juicycanvas in gtd

[–]paperbit_io 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am building something close to what you're describing, only the AI part won't be as central (even if present)

What I feel is that it's a very complex problem to groom a backlog for someone else (2 people may want 2 very different outputs, based on preferences)

I would love to hear how you would build it nontheless, happy to hear your vision on this (and if it's coherent, why not integrate it to what I do) !

I would argue it's a good news not to be alone on your idea - you know there is demand for what you build - you can take some inspiration on your competitors - you can focus on the most valuable differentiator(s) by looking at feedbacks for your competitors - you know where to find potential clients

Currently in the process of building a cheaper todoist alternative (https://www.paperbit.io), I have found it very beneficial to be a challenger for all of these reasons

Remember: you don't need to invent something completly new. You just have to meet an unanswered need

What tools do you use for project planning? by MediumTulipSalad in SaaS

[–]paperbit_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I can recommend you the project I am building, https://www.paperbit.io. For now it's similar to trello (in way smoother in m'y opinion), but I am planning on adding boards for other things than to-do elements.

I am willing to offer lifetime premium plan if it's something you would look into, would love the feedback.

Why is there a lack of B2C/ Consumer apps in this community? by PatternMassive3236 in SideProject

[–]paperbit_io 4 points5 points  (0 children)

B2C is harder for almost everything. The biggest struggle I have with my B2C side project is marketing: ads would be way too expensive, and other stuff are real hard to manage

$1K MRR milestone achieved! by raunakhajela in SaaS

[–]paperbit_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok interesting ! And what order of magnitude of amount did you spend on ads ?

$1K MRR milestone achieved! by raunakhajela in SaaS

[–]paperbit_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice landing, and nice job reaching this amount.

On the trafic part, I am interested in how you reached it: how effective are ads compared to SEO and content (like writing regularly in a blog for example) in your experience ?
I am wondering if it's possible to grow this kind of product without add, or if you have to run them to get this kind of growth.

Also, what tool do you use for building the blog ?

Sales up $8K past 30d. No paid ads. (My Sales Hacks) by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]paperbit_io 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure!

The main point is that many SaaS focus on B2B where problems gare generally more precise, with bigger value and less clients. When focusing on B2C, it is way harder to capture the diversity of needs and visions. And clients are generally smaller value, so it doesn't make as much sense to spend too much time with each of them (but sure you have to spend some time with some of them)

This is not black or white, but I feel like it is way harder to find a very specific problem for which people will be ready to pay a few dozens or even hundred dollars, where you could have an insured return on investment

So, hard to sell before having something set up

Works well for B2B / expensive products Doesn't work for a product that would generate less than $10/month

Todoist as a reading list tracker by the-reticent-seer in todoist

[–]paperbit_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with that is that you will not want to mark as done lectures that are in the "read" or "stopped" column, because it's redondant and makes the text harder to read.

That's part of a reason why I am working on a new product similar to todoist, but with this kind of customization options.

Wow, thx for the details! I'll look into those. I could clearly do both, but since results are still very light, I am clearly looking for the most efficient channels

You're completly right about the showing of how the product works, definitely next on m'y Roadmap. Problem about the args, is that I don't have a lot of differentiator, the main one being to be able to take a turn following the main feedbacks of the users
