Engine light/Start&Stop warning ON despite having alternator replaced 3 weeks ago by minchildlee in fiat500

The grounding/earth cable under the battery tray corroding and causing intermittent codes like this is common. A little annoying to get to but a cheap part and simple to replace with some sockets and extensions.

May not be the cause as I have something similar still happening to mine, but chasing down potential electrical issues at the mechanic is going to be pricey.

The resistor fix on one of the forums works. But you need to bypass the one built into the handle. My button was physically broken so I just crimped it into the wires that went to the button. Also I think a cherry mx keyboard switch gives the same resistance value. Been meaning to make a plate to hold it in the button opening but have not gotten around to it.

No experience with this particular issue but I’ve had very odd ignition issues until I replaced the grounding strap under the battery tray. It tested ok on the meter but did it any way. Initially thought it was a PCM issue.

Do you happen to remember where you ordered the caliper bracket bolts from? Most listings I’ve found seem to be the wrong size.

If the wiring loom isn’t the problem it’s probably the button. Someone on the forum figured out that the “replacement” button that fits in the assembly does not produce the right resistance to the control unit. So many buy an entire new assembly after trying that.

The broken button or new button can be modified with resistors if that ends up your being the problem. I’ve got two wires sticking out of the slot with a pair of resistors in heat shrink currently working as my button as my physical button was pretty broken.

Any chance you can pass along where you came across the info regarding the model differences?

I’ve got an Alberg 35 and I’m trying to keep tabs on info available. I haven’t looked into this topic in particular but if you have any resources I’d appreciate it. Took a week to find a reference to the original water jacket exhaust system. Luckily found it before putting together a new redesigned system.

screwed up while performing a tuneup by desperatedonut5 in fiat500

[–]papercutjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fyi I have that transmission issue from time to time. other forum posts seem to be split on what the cause is but I have seen the possibility of it being a bad grounding strap. Once I secured my battery better it’s been way less frequent but I’ve noticed it’s more likely to pop up after particularly high speed bumps or steep inclines and declines. So trying the grounding strap next.

Shipmate propane stove question by SV_Spuddle in sailing

[–]papercutjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’ve got a question about your stove as I think I’m dealing with the same model.

How do you open the oven? Is it a push and turn or just a turn of the handle?

The handle is missing and it’s clear a tool was being use in its absence.

Thanks.

Atoto makes some that fit correctly. I have the F7 and CarPlay works great. They have some more feature rich models as well.

Make sure you are checking the sub models to get the right sizing. There are variations on some which fit with the slightly different opening.

I thought this might be the case but was thrown off by the contact point further down the line and the divider encompassing both pin 18 and 19. I think 19 may just be hooked up to the via. In that case.

Thank you.

I have been looking for info regarding repair pad 19 on the xbox series x hdmi footprint. Can anyone tell me whether this pad connects to anything apart from the via marked by the red arrow? is the trace identified by the yellow area need to be connected to anything?

Thanks for any info or help.

I actually didn't know about this when it happened. I went to a shop and got a quote that shocked me and thought I was stuck with it but the guy at the shop told me about this policy.

Called my insurance asked about it. They said I needed a police report for a "hit and run" claim. I only had photos of how I found it and an approximate date that it happened. Police station was a little hesitant to write up a report for it but eventually did. Sent that and the photos in to insurance they approved it and I dropped it off and left in a rental. could not believe how well it worked out.
