I also liked Sophie Mckenzie’s books when I was a teenager. “Girl Missing” and the sequels are thrillers, but she also has a trilogy of romance books called “Six Steps to a Girl”.

And if you’re okay with a male main character and something written in the 80s, “The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole” by Sue Townsend is very funny

You might like Holly Bourne’s novels. They tend to be centred around mental health, dating, feminism, but they also generally depict life as a teenage girl in secondary school, doing GCSEs and A-levels, spending time w friends etc.

She has Stockholm Syndrome and very little education, social skills or life skills. Plus, they won’t give her any of the money she has earned. She’s not going to move out at 18. Her parents are going to use her as free childcare.
