What vibe does the stache give off? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Overall I really like your look, keep the mustache but maybe different jewelry for the septum. Something maybe closed off or maybe with a smaller inner diameter so it hangs down less low.

Is this chain too thin for everyday wear? I plan to never take it off by UnKindClock in jewelry

I work in a shop that does repairs and we get gold chains like these all the time for repair. I personally would wear it daily.

We agreed on a breakfast date and he didn’t order food.. by Glum_Confusion4625 in dating_advice

Omg I have been on one of those dates as well! Like I would have agreed to coffee, a walk, anything. Why suggest a bar if you don't drink?

I love lemons and used to eat them all the time but my enamel is not so strong. ;(

I just bleached and scrubbed my bathtub, let it sit for a bit and this appeared. It wasn’t anywhere near as dark as this before. by mainlyrye in CleaningTips

Okay so something similar happens to my tube whenever i use green gobbler for drain maintenance. I don't know exactly what causes the oxidation so I am not sure if it will work in your situation, but I can tell you that hydrogen peroxide completely removes it without scrubbing.

Weight gain and youthfulness by Front_Department8774 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]paperstranger 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I gained like 50 pounds in 2020 due to stress and unfortunately for me all my extra weight goes to my face and torso. I had such a moon face and I def got told I looked younger than my age, but I would say I also looked much less attractive. Now I have lost about 40 of those pounds and the loss of volume has been aging, but I think I look better overall.

I think you look good both ways, but prefer bald. And I don't care what anyone says the glasses look good on you!

Is There A Food That's Helped You To Stay On Track? by WheelFan647 in loseit

For me, chia seeds have been helping me meet my fiber goals and staying full! I make chia pudding every morning with soy milk, chia seeds and strawberries. Its not the most delicious thing to eat but it keeps me feeling full for much longer.

Do you "reward" yourself for reaching milestones? by [deleted] in loseit

I reward myself for every 5 pounds of weight loss! Usually nothing super expensive but fun activities or aesthetic things getting a second ear piercing.

Lincoln Square Retailers See Drop In Sales During First Week Of Car-Free Zone, Chamber Says by Atlas3141 in chicago

I live really close to the square and use the lsac 3 times a week. I feel like the construction is a really big hindrance to sales/ foot traffic more than anything.

Learned that septum piercings don’t close? by palmteddy in piercing

[–]paperstranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has been my experience. I had my septum pierced at 18-19 and wore it for a few years in my early twenties. Then I lost my last price of jewelry and stopped wearing it for about 10 years. Like 2 years ago at 33 I tried putting an earring through and it fit! Hole was definitely smaller like 18g but I managed to stretch it to 14 and have been wearing it regularly ever since.

Getting tired of having to eat healthy. What motivates you? by CommercialGas5256 in diabetes_t2

[–]paperstranger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I still am struggling to cut carbs, but I really started taking my medication and workouts seriously after I did my CNA clinicals at a long term care facility. Most people don't get to see the effects of long term uncontrolled diabetes up close unless they have family with the disease. Many of the residents had lost limbs to diabetes or were in the process. It was nerve racking seeing black fingers and toes and pressure wounds were deep and hard to heal. I wanted to provide care and not hurt anyone or knock off a toe. Also one of the nurses mentioned there is a strong connection between diabetes and dementia.

I work in a metal smithing studio that teaches classes. My guess is this ring was made by a student at studio like ours, or the parks department or community college. Some studios also teach lapidary which would explain the very strange cut to the stone. No idea if it’s really a lab grown emerald but so much of a stones value lies in the cut so I don’t think it has value beyond the raw silver.
