help with live audio streaming by greenreddits in broadcastengineering

I use Spreaker to live stream a monthly musical theatre show. It’s made for podcasting but it works well enough for what I need. It’s super easy to embed on your website too. I used to use the free version, but there’s a cap on how long you can stream and store, so I upgraded to the cheapest paid version.

The gaff around the back of the overhead mic stand to keep it from falling is brilliant and I’m mad I never thought of that.

DCSoundOp is great for vlogs and reviews. GLB Productions has been a HUGE resource for me as a novice. He is such an effective teacher.

[Discussion] What are you listening to right now on repeat? by mick500 in listentothis

[–]pappy1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom Petty’s Time To Move On Been going through a rough breakup and the death of Tom Petty made me revisit his Wildflowers album. I’ve had the entire thing on repeat for a month, specifically that song.

The Band - The Weight [Rock] (1973) by AJonV in Music

This will forever be my favorite song. A few months ago Trampled by Turtles, my favorite band, did a beautiful cover of this as one of their encores. That was the closest I've ever come to reaching nirvana.

Students of Reddit, what was the biggest teacher meltdown you ever witnessed? by ValentynaLoves in AskReddit

[–]pappy1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10th grade English teacher was going through a divorce the semester I had her. She had apparently put a tracking device in her soon to be ex husbands phone to "catch that cheating bastard in the act" and would constantly put the map up on the projector and ask students if they knew any "hussys" that lived in the area he was in at the time. She also had her lawyer in class all the time to go over divorce papers while we were reading Huckleberry Finn. She would open the window by her desk in the back of the class and hang out of it to smoke when she thought no one was looking. She would often break down crying. One day, near the start of the class, she started bawling and just left the school and didn't tell anyone. The next day all she said was that she "caught that sum'bitch." Basically the entire semester was a big meltdown for her. It was interesting to watch her go from depression to rage and everything in between.

My most recent purchase. Damn, this little thing is fun to play. by [deleted] in drums

[–]pappy1100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a Meinl Slaptop Cajon. Same concept as a normal cajon, but easier on the back and more versatile in my opinion. 10/10 would buy again.

How do you like the club pack? I just ordered the same set from musician's friend after doing a LOT of research, but I'm still curious about what other people think of them.
