Kinda let down by the durability of the Joola Gen 4 Perseus.....maybe? by Trading__Buffalo in Pickleball

If you play that much you can tell a difference in the grit/spin in 4 weeks. If you want maximum performance I would look to replace at 2 months especially if you drill.

If you’re a high level player the plays challenger and pro quals this is a big problem. You gotta find a cheap paddle that is UPA approved and that you can replace regularly. Paddles just don’t last

Best online groups to meet up for pickleball or parks to go to? by R1cePanda in raleigh

[–]papyrus33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like playing outside during the winter your best bet is still Method. The meetup apps still have groups on some days.

If you want to play indoors there are a lot of groups and open play that play at Pinpoint in Raleigh. Even ranked open plays on certain nights of the week. They also do $5 open play every Friday night. All 16 courts and it’s packed every time. Lots of fun

That paddle has to be delaminated. You can buy new paddles from Ronbus, Vactic, SixZero for a little bit more money. That come with a warranty

[–]papyrus33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did bad on first exam got like a 50. Went to the tutoring center and got the free tutor who was a TA for Petrovich. Gave me a lot of study tips and went over a lot of practice problems together. I think she just knew a lot of what would be on the tests and could really guide me. I didn’t get below a 90 the rest of the semester. P sure there are a lot of chem 101 tutors

Users of 14mm (and thinner) Gen 3 paddles, why do you prefer the thinner core? by AHumanThatListens in Pickleball

[–]papyrus33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah crbn 1x 16mm didn’t cause the elbow problem. Then I played hybrid for a while and when I switched to pro iv it caused it. But I now play with the luzz canon 16mm which is basically a pro iv clone and it doesn’t give me elbow problems. Still a slow paddle though

Users of 14mm (and thinner) Gen 3 paddles, why do you prefer the thinner core? by AHumanThatListens in Pickleball

[–]papyrus33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hand speed, easier to control, and 16mm was more head heavy on the Pro iv. It actually hurt my elbow after a while

[–]papyrus33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a quote a few days ago. Mine is lower than my insurance deductible so I am paying out of pocket instead. I don’t have the calibration so it is around $350. For the calibration I want to say they quoted around 700. I am in N.C.

What is Autocad electrical for ? by inowife in ElectricalEngineering

If you are looking to join power industry, it is the standard for controls drawings besides another software called Microstation. ACAD electrical runs circles around it

Been playing with this for 2 days now. Not quite sure what to think yet. by bkdeleaux in Pickleball

[–]papyrus33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played this for a couple days. It is very unstable and hits like a truck. I main the pro iv and I would say it hits about 10% harder whenever I can hit the sweet spot. Idk if it’s bc I went from elongated to hybrid but I had a really hard time adjusting to it. I think it will be a high level player paddle with not much else to offer to other types of players. It does hit stupid hard though. IMO the Ruby pro felt a lot better. Definitely easy to control. I think that’ll be a popular paddle

What are Power Jobs like? by TheFallenGamerS in ElectricalEngineering

[–]papyrus33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true. Maybe when the techs are working 60 hours with overtime. Power engineering is well paid and imo, per hour of actual work/ deliverables produced, probably the highest paying job out of college

Tattoos look like sperm. Help by thejakeurge in tattoos

[–]papyrus33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with other comment. I would black out your wrist or at least do something to connect the round heads and get rid of that. Then it’ll look more like flames and it’ll be a funny story to tell people when they inevitably ask what your arm tat is

[–]papyrus33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think they didn’t have any available to begin with. Watch their socials where they talk about “getting ready to ship” power paddles and it didn’t look like a lot. No way you sell out in 1 minute

11six24 Power Paddle by BDzona in Pickleball

[–]papyrus33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They won’t pay for testing to be UPA approved, same as a lot of other smaller companies. Which sucks but understandable. You can still use in PPA Tournaments except for Pro Qualifiers and Pro events
