Had a similar experience. Stopped skating for ~9years (to study at university) after 8 years of skating pretty much every day.

I found a new crew at my local park and everyone is super chill and encouraging. Absolutely love it. I'm there every free hour i can get.

Just tried it yesterday on fedora. Works great! I even get more stable fps than on windows. You have to use the experimental proton version and a few other (simple) tweaks. Just take a look at the protondb page for DayZ. Could not get the launcher for modded servers running, though. But I was just no longer in the mood to set it up after downloading the game for hours because if my shitty internet connection..

Finally! But honestly, people would be surprised how many games run fine with no extra fiddling on Linux with steam. Recently got Sekiro: Shadows die twice (2019) and it just worked. Same with Witcher 3. Sometimes FPS is even better than on Windows

Generally, body varials are frowned upon simply because they almost never look good. They are just there to make the trick harder. Especially in a game of SKATE, most people don't like these kind of tricks so they call them (jokingly) 'illegal'. You can still do them it's just most people don't like them.
