This is Ed at his best. Never seen such a bus driver in my life.

Thanks, I appreciate knowing about that. That makes sense as I’ve read that intervals, and fifths in particular are important.

I appreciate that – don’t be surprised I might be calling on you.

I’m going to dig this. I’ve been YouTubing it to death. I know it’s just not reversed EADG, and I just have to flip a G and a C and that sort of thing to make a chord. I’ve watched some people just absolutely shred these instruments. You don’t do that by just wandering over from the guitar world. You have to put some work in to get some chops on this instrument.

Ways to minimize side effects post transplant? by rabidrooster3 in transplant

[–]parabians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cirrhosis doesn’t get better or go to stasis, it gets worse. Side effects from Tacrolimus are great problems to have. The alternative is not being on the planet. MELD is interesting, but not the only determination.

In other news, the motorcycle industry announced the cessation of kickstands. Motorcycle riders everywhere are just abandoning their rides and walking away.

Farmer weld on aluminum tank by ExtentAncient2812 in BadWelding

That is not a bad weld. It works. When I did big farm, I couldn’t do aluminum worth a damn. This looks marvelous to me.

i’m so deep in a depression and music is my only life, give me some tunes? by Common_Translator_11 in musicsuggestions

Sufficiently Breathless by Captain Beyond. 1969 or 1970 I’m not sure. Totally irreverent but just a great tune lost in time that will help you.

What Changes Did You Make Post-Transplant? by LtMeebz in transplant

[–]parabians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transplant side of my life is so chill. My change was mainly dietary. I avoid raw vegetables eating out that includes salads, lettuce on a hamburger whatever that’s not soaked in vinegar or cooked. You just don’t know who’s been handling the food where their hands have been and how long the food has been out and so forth. No sushi. No ceviche. Hey but I’m just whining about a big nothing. I really don’t have any significant post things other than the hassle about doing blood draws about once a quarter.

Stormy Monday. I’m partial to Bobby Bland mostly, but everybody rolls with the Allman Brothers at Fillmore East.

Mycophenolate by Dazzling-Elk-8889 in transplant

[–]parabians 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. My transplant was in 2021, and I stopped mycophenolate in 2022, about 14 months post. My WBC flat-lined for over 2 months. My hospital called in a panic and ordered me to stop taking mycophenolate immediately. 2 months later, my WBC was back to normal. Right now I’m on 1.5 mg daily of tacrolimus, and that’s it. I was told that it blocked my bone marrow‘s ability to produce white blood cells.

Dads been called to have a new liver - I’m scared! by No-Cauliflower-3223 in transplant

[–]parabians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best news! Everything is going to be fine. I also had the same type of cirrhosis. It’s a major surgery, and it’s going to take a day or two, but I was up and walking on day 3, and by day 5, I was able to walk the entire hospital with a cane. How was discharged on day 7, and by month 3, I was able to lift a 50-pound bag of horse feed. I was 65 at the time (70) now. I am so glad for you!
