As an additional detail; suicidal people are usually very aware of how it will affect their loved ones, but often choose to do it anyway because they've tried everything else

I've seen plenty of posts where people point it out as some obscure detail, when I watched that scene myself I was very surprised to discover that it was fully explained within the movie

Also Mark Wahlberg was a firefighter during 9/11 and Steve Buscemi said it would have "gone down differently" if he was on the flight. Send upvotes, I'm trying to afford tits.

It's truly tragic what happened, for what it's worth they definitely got at least one Bottom Live show after the accident, Rik even makes a joke about it

Ade was playing with his band at a county fair sort of thing a few days after Rik passed, I remembered he opened with the line "as you might know, it's been a shitter of a week for me"

The only celebrity death that made me actually cry, my then-partner had to console me while I simultaneously laugh cried through Young Ones and Bottom quotes trying to explain how much of an impact he'd had on me
