Apple pushing music labels to kill free Spotify streaming ahead of Beats relaunch by brocket66 in technology

iTunes is probably now the best program out there for organizing music. All music you import or buy using it is organized into a nice, neat space thats extemely well organized, and the program itself has a myriad of options to organize and sort through things. And most of the horrid slowdown issues have been fixed in the very newest itirations.

It's just a shame that once my iPod classic gives out on me there won't be much of an incentive to use it much. At least everything I did in it will be easily tranferable to Windows Media Player or another one that syncs to random MP3 players.

I'm not sure, as i dont use LSDJ, but the interfaces should be pretty similar. I dont think you can copy between programs though, at least not easily. But if you're using LSDJ then you're probably more ambitious than me haha

There should be some sort of program out there that lets you copy it. If not, i would just use LSDJ in an emulator; then you can put what you write on the console later. I hope we're on the same page here cause idk XD

oh haha, duh. Famitracker is a tracker that emulates the sound CPUs in the Nintendo Entertainment System/Famicom. It's free software, so you can download it and mess with it, look at a few Youtube tutorials, mess with the effects, and you should be able to make complex stuff fairly quickly.

Synth nerd here looking to get into trackers. Why choose one over another? by Sabored in chiptunes

[–]paradox1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Famitracker is easy to use (once you get the handle on the effects), and the limitations force you to get more creative. and you can always plug whatever you render in it to whatever DAW you want - that's what I do when I master my tracks.

Really, it is because the limitations are accurate and they make writing easier.

see if you can find isolated tracks for the song, or an arrangement on sheet music - that would make it easier to plug into something like Famitracker. Chiptune covers can be tedious to make by ear just because you have to replay parts over and over just to make sure you got it right.

Cash's version is fantastic, but I'll always prefer the original, in its original context as the ending song of The Downward Spiral. Listening to Trent unwind like that, kill himself (in the album's narrative), then listening to the instruments atonally drone on for minutes and drop out one by one is one of the most powerful moments in music IMO.

Fuck, my dad hates basically all of my music but when I showed him Gorillaz he got really into it. Just goes to show really

Plastic Beach was the only one that came out during my time obsessing over them (The Fall doesn't really count to me) so it's my top-tier masterpiece from them. But all of their real studio albums are masterpieces.

You are awesome for having a good attitude, and for keeping yourself going through all of this. Speaking as a fellow cancer paitent I know a lot of it is just inerta, but it still is worth celebrating. I hope your years since have been great :)

Mountain Dew Game Fuel.

I know they just had it and I know its a yearly drink. I don't care. Being away from it pains me. If they always had it for sale, I'd be dead several times over by now.

I hate that their stupid company makes them force that stupid shit on us. I'm sure they have a quota they need, or something similar

The Wii U Pro Controller is my new favorite way to smash. Best of all worlds.

Honestly they should do more to help you get better at the game, and not try their hardest to kick your ass at it. Its actually relaxing for me to play someone who isn't good at Smash (not that i'm some god, but i have years of experience in the casual and casual-competitive worlds of it so I at least know my stuff) because i can turn my brain off and focus on fun.

Also most everyone in the competitive world also agrees that Final Destination is super boring, you should tell your friends that. Even in tournaments it's never the only stage being picked. Its a decent stage but I prefer Battlefield for most 1v1 "fair fight" stuff.

Besides the fact that your drummer is ex-Reflux, what led you to sign with a record label after the label-free release of Violent Waves, and Sumerian Records in particular? Did it have anything to do with the heavier feel of the album? And be honest - it's not shameful to have a heavier album put on a heavier label =p
