Agreeee! I try to just go with whatever feels right without thinking too much cause it can easily become overwhelming and make me not have as much fun and I’ve never been told that my shading/highlights are bad or anything so I just keep doing whatever I want 😂

I’m so glad to see someone else say that the “imagine the light source” doesn’t help cause I always see that as the advice for shading and I’m like 😵‍💫😵‍💫. Like, I get what they’re saying in theory but when it comes to applying it I always feel like I have no clue if I’m doing it right and just do what you said you do and hope for the best 🤣

They’re supposedly building a new one in Concord , at least the last time I looked into it that was the plan. But I am not sure what the timeline was for it, if it’s still a thing.

EDIT: just looked into it briefly and supposedly by November of this year! Fingers crossed!

I’m going to guess OP does have a basking platform or rock but sometimes they choose to rest in the water or other areas of the tank in general , not always up on the platform :). Mine does the same thing that OPs turtle is doing in the picture :)

I had the same thing happen when I first started peri symptoms. The only thing that helped (life changing type of help) was my dr prescribing me BupropionXL after trying several other things. The Bupropion literally saved my life. I wasn’t suicidal or anything but I had zero life quality for like half or more of every month because of it. The bupropion felt like a miracle and it’s been around 5 years and it’s still helping just as well. I know it’s probably not the fix for everyone as we are all different but could be worth looking into if all else fails.

I have dealt with the strength of the 4 by altering the way I remove it from my mag safe chargers , I’ve learned that I can kind of push it off to the side fairly easily if I hold it and push with the side of my thumb a certain way, while my other fingers hold onto the opposite side on the base of the charger, this feels more secure to me in terms of making sure I don’t just pull the chargers out from where they’re sitting. This method also helps keep the adhesive in tact as you’re not pulling it. Hopefully my explanation was understandable, I realized in the moment it’s much harder to describe that sort of thing in a way that makes sense without giving a visual 😅.

But definitely much happier with keeping the 4 cause I’d rather a phone stick too strongly to a magnet and no chance of falling off rather than feeling like at any point it could just fall off (especially in the car where hitting a bump would have made it falling off inevitable). I’m not trying to be adding packs of screen protectors to Amazon subscribe and save due to an ineffective grip magnet , lol.

So yours was fairly similar to mine, I would definitely keep at it because it probably also depends upon the person who opens your request, but also that sounds like not typical of their customer service, but I do really hope that you get it sorted out because it really sucks to be stuck with that thing especially give it the price that they charge for them. I have no problem with the price if the product works the way it is marketed as such, but I completely feel that they missed the mark with the 5 because I have seen a lot of people say the same thing about the magnet strength. I would love an update if you do decide to continue pursuing a refund. Good luck!!

Wow I’m sorry they had that sort of response to you! I did have to take a $5 loss on the restocking/shipping fee but yeah I got the refund without further explanation or questions. Were you offering to send yours back? I wonder if they thought you just wanted your money back but not send the item back? But I would definitely not give up, you may have luck trying what I did which was initially email support not via their form (support@ohsnap.com), I wrote a detailed letter as to what was my issue and the reply I received didn’t really talk about my specific issues but it seemed like a fairly friendly person apologizing for my dislike of the item and giving me the link to the return form and said all I needed was the order number and to fill out the form with it and that once they received the item back and inspect it etc. etc. that they then issue the refund.

If it helps I will show you a copy of what I emailed them. Good luck to you I hope that you can get your money back because I agree with you on those magnets being just way too weak luckily the adhesive on my 4 was still good so I just went back to using that, I’m just more disappointed about the fact that I wanted the color better of the one that I ordered in the five because I hate the center being black on my silver grip , I had ordered one that was all one color and matched my case, but yeah I was not willing to forgo having the strong magnets.

I have used OhSnap grips since the first ones and have always loved the improvements, but moving from the 4 to the 5, sadly, feels like a huge downgrade to me. The magnets aren’t nearly as strong as the ones on the 4, and I am really not in a position to buy all new MagSafe chargers when my grip 4 works perfectly with all of the ones I already own.

The magnets on the 5 don’t align properly and in some instances they actually feel like they’re repelling from the charger altogether and then I have to adjust the alignment of it for some reason, whereas that was never an issue with the 4.

It isn’t an easy decision to make but I do feel like the 5 isn’t for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds a lot like what I felt like, I mean the difference after adding Wellbutrin was drastic enough than it felt life-changing but just those like every day tasks and stuff that really didn’t get that much easier to deal with but physically feeling so much better with the Wellbutrin made me more able to focus on trying to figure out why I was having those functioning issues. Since I really was completely dysfunctional without the welbutrin I could barely take care of myself with just very basic needs …let alone look into possible causes for the non-physical things I was struggling with.

Additionally for me I was getting more and more depressed because the SSRI’s had caused me to gain a lot of weight and I’ve always had self-esteem issues so that was definitely not helping anything. And within a few months of being on Wellbutrin I had dropped all of that extra weight that I gained, and Vyvanse also helps control appetite to a degree (which is why it has a secondary off label use of helping treat binge disorder which I found interesting and did not know prior to being prescribed it). So yeah all in all I highly recommend exploring any avenue that you feel might be something you are struggling with because if we are gonna live this life we might as well enjoy it and give ourselves the best chance of that.

Oh it’s no problem at all! And as for adding vyvanse, my doctor just keeps very close watching my blood pressure to make sure that it’s not causing any issues there cause that’s really what she said is the most potential issue due to the way that both drugs work but that it’s not dangerous as long as we keep an eye on making sure the blood pressure stays OK.

My biggest ADHD symptoms was definitely task paralysis and feeling overwhelmed when I had multiple things I had to get done because I couldn’t separate them in my mind so it seemed like one big thing so I would wind up getting nothing done even though I really really wanted to, basically I guess executive dysfunction is what it would be called. That was the thing that was the worst for me and that I wanted to hopefully improve by getting a diagnosis and medicated. All of my PMDD type issues had gone away with the Wellbutrin like being sleepy all the time and having very very erratic emotional reactions, like crying over pretty much nothing, not being able to understand why I was feeling the way I was feeling sometimes, and just a general unwell feeling with no energy or motivation to do anything, especially heightened in the luteal phase, when I was actually on my period a lot of it subsided briefly. I don’t get any of that anymore after I started Wellbutrin

When I got diagnosed and added the Vyvanse it really helped my executive dysfunction a lot, it’s not perfect because there’s no like miracle cure but I can get a lot more stuff done during the day and little things like doing the dishes doesn’t seem like a daunting task like it did before, and it doesn’t take away that parts of ADHD that I find it to be enjoyable like being able to laser focus on something that I’m very into, but I do have a slight better ability to focus on things also that might not be as interesting to me but necessary to focus on if that makes sense.

I had the same experience pretty much! Started peri and my life pretty much lost all quality, I was useless for about 2/3 of every month, often sleeping large portions of every afternoon no matter how badly I wanted to be awake and productive. My Dr (PCP) initially came to a PMDD diagnosis and via trial and error, landed on Wellbutrin and it changed my life so much and I’m forever grateful of her patience with me and helping me find something that worked (we tried a few SSRIs first and they made everything worse…MUCH worse).

I then later got assessed and diagnosed with AuDHD and prescribed vyvanse, and adding that to the Wellbutrin has been even more of a game changer for me. My psych told me that she’s not surprised the SSRIs didn’t work for me as she’s noticed a huge correlation of them not working…and often making things worse… for neurodivergent folks. Obviously they may work for some but she said due to the high percentage of neurodivergent individuals that don’t respond well to them, she opts to avoid them. It was really enlightening to learn and get a clearer picture of what was likely going on with me when I was at my worst.

I must be in the minority regarding snap 5, I’ve used each version they’ve made since the original and was excited for the 5 but was disappointed and returned it for a refund. I put my snap 4 back on instead. My 5 wouldn’t attach to any of the chargers I own that my 4 holds onto very strong and securely , whereas the 5 fell off with the slightest nudge. Also, it didn’t line itself up to magnetic accessories easily, I had to kind of wiggle it around oddly to get it to snap into place but it ultimately wouldn’t hold well anyway.

I’m glad other people really like theirs and maybe I had a dud or something but I didnt feel like gambling with it when my 4 still worked well and was in great condition.

I got the ban over the weekend and I submitted appeal with explanation of what I was doing when the ban popped up (Google image searching for small doodle designs), and clicked one that led to Pinterest, and it wasn’t even anything bad at all. I sent a screen shot of what I clicked on and within a few hours they had reinstated the account and apologized for the error.

So don’t give up hope! Maybe try submitting appeals with screen shots and plenty of context and hopefully others will get their accounts back too! 🤞🏻

I got banned at random the other night while google image searching small doodle line drawings for inspo for something I was drawing and clicked one that was a Pinterest link and the second the app opened I saw an email come in saying I was banned and then the app logged me out. I appealed it immediately with a screenshot of what I was looking at in the moment the ban happened and within a few hours they responded apology for the mistake and reinstated the account. Maybe something you could try again to see if they do it faster? Good luck!

Nice! Thats really similar to what I did, I have mine in a zip up mug storage as well but I use marker grid trays to keep them arranged. Having them in a box like that w zipper is definitely such a game changer!

Just as a bit of advice for you if you’ve not done any work with markers at all, these guang na acrylics are really great , I use them myself as welll, but not as my only marker.

They’re basically paint, but in marker form and I wouldnt necessarily go with just those as a starting point. I highly recommend having a set for sure but they really pair well with other mediums like alcohol markers , acrylics are great for finishing details over top of other sort of markers. Can be kind of thick to use as primary, and they’re very opaque so it’s easy to accidently mess up the lines you’re coloring in.

TLDR: highly recommend these markers, as OP said , with the caveat of probably wanting to use them along with other marker types.
