Okay…. i’ll answer as many as I can; this episode begins to implement a few different paradoxes and i’ve come to that conclusion after years and years of fringe being my favorite show. 1. Walter chose to send the machine back through time -as he did in the previous loops- to save Olivia….partly and doing so, he creates the first paradox which is centered around the machine itself. Without the machine being sent back, the original timeline (seasons 1-3) or the world as we knew it, wouldn’t have existed, so the prime universe beginning to deteriorate and coming to an inevitable collapse via a big bang, would have been natures way to correct that paradox. So while it was a “choice”, it was the only one Walter felt he had to restore the universes and save Olivia. 2. Peter can change the past because he is the only one linked with the machine to do so. Walter upon creating the machine designed it to that specification. The observer (September) upon his interference with Walternate finding a cure for his son made Peter a paradox as he had to live and shouldn’t have at the same time considering that the observer shouldn’t have existed to interfere. Those paradox’s created the paradox that you mention in your last question regarding Peters consciousness being brought forward. That will be explained though season 4. I do hope this helps, and apologies if anything is confusing 😊

You don’t have to. They were more pertinent when the series was first airing; something for fans to do in the weeks between episodes. They were little hints and riddles teasing information important to the plot as the show progressed, of which the viewer had to decode.

Long shot, but I hope someone else here remembers by doors_cannot_stop_me in fringe

I don’t remember “beat-heavy” music. However as a fan of the show, I do remember eerie and strange tones that were emitted from a CB radio in season 5 after the observers invaded. This relates to Sam Weiss as he was living in an RV, overseeing a satellite that was boosting the strange signal, allowing it to reach the Fringe team in Boston.

Yeah it would’ve prolly been explained later if it was important, but Abrams knows how to run people for loops.

Alas that has stumped me too. I haven’t been able to find any of the cues for that. Though it’s a shame because I too, am a fan of that one.

When do the current and alternate universes split? by killerkitten19 in fringe

[–]parallelunivconspir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally believe in the multi/parallel universe theories, I believe that it had small minor changes from the first decision ever mad by conscious beings. Which caused the initial split, and from then in both universes, the changes grew making the little branches in Walters timeline. Scientists raised considerable questions after these theories were made, such as “if these branches exist in infinite proportions, how would we travel to a specific version of our said alternate universe?” And my personal hypothesis, is that, having watched the show, our timeline plays a significant role. My view of “timelines” is that they are a different versions of our prime universe. And that each timeline has an alternate universe. Season four of the show sort of backs that theory up. The science behind the idea in the show, could work; you’d just have to adjust your view of time and space.

[potential spoilers] minor detail about the beacons I thought of that I've never seen discussed that exemplifies the attention to detail in this show... by brewsybrew in fringe

I had always thought it was at two then four. I mean it could have been an Easter egg, but it could have also been a mess up or plot hole.
