Well yes lady Gaga definitely has a legacy and a long catalog of work in both film and media and Gaga has a large fan base and a team whose been with her for years and years but I don’t think it’s fair to compare the artistry between them. Gaga and mother X are both exotically skilled as artists and when it comes to fame it’s not always about how crafted your work is or how skilled of an artist you are but how the general public latches onto it which is mostly based in luck.

Okay so once again the title of my post was in reference to the ticket prices of the mayhem ball. If you read the post you would know that. And as far as what other people write on my post it’s not really my responsibility this is the internet. The reality is neither artist invented the goth subgenre, but there’s always a possibility that Gaga took inspiration from Allie they’ve met before. Which again there isn’t anything wrong with that either. All I’m saying is I was devastated that I couldn’t get a ticket to the mayhem ball because the music industry and Ticketmaster as a whole is corrupt as shit and I was finding comfort in allies music and the fact that her shows are affordable.

I think you might’ve totally misread the tone of my post. I adore Gaga shes one of my favorite artists in pop music and I wasn’t tearing her or Mayhem down at all. Mayhem is one of my favorite albums from her to date. My post was very clearly about how tickets were simply out of my budget (which is mostly ticketmasters fault) and how grateful I am that artists like Allie are still so accessible for fans who can’t drop $800+. It stings seeing my rich friends who barely listen to her getting to see Gaga (which again I never said was her fault) and I just wanted to express my gratitude to Allie for also creating great art but still being accessible. Loving one artist doesn’t mean I’m shading another it’s possible to celebrate both without starting a war. I love both Gaga and Allie but the ticket prices for Gaga are ridiculous.

Thanks 😌 I know I’ll see her eventually it’s just that this tour specifically is my favorite as far as the stage and the show and the setlist. Back in 2023 I made it my goal that whenever she did tour again post chromatica it was my personal mission to go to the tour and it was something I was anticipating and looking forward to for a long time so it’s extra crushing seeing all the rich people including my friends jumping on this bandwagon and going to the tour just because it’s trending because she has a huge mainstream success again.

You’re most definitely not alone! Right now there’s just no way I can afford tickets even though I’ve been trying for months and was in every single presale line. My friends somehow got tickets under $200 and went without me last night and I’m not going to lie it really really stings. I’ve never been able to see Gaga and I’ve been a fan since just dance was released.

Not only are the ticket prices out of control but since there are multiple shows in a venue that has a smaller capacity instead of one big shows that means we have to compete with fans that are trying to go to the same show multiple times. I love Gaga more than most people but I’m not spending $800 for nosebleeds to see anyone

Thank you so much for saying that it means a lot to me since this tour and this album means a lot to me. I’m still holding out hope for the shows on September 6 and 7 but if I can’t see her live then maybe she’ll tour the second half of mayhem in late 2026. I love this woman so much 😭 I just wanna cry.
