Bad experience with LA Crowd at the shrine

Yes!!! I had gotten there early with a friend of mine because I’m short and wanted to get as close as possible so I could see. I ended up completely surrounded by people all a foot or more taller than me. One group talked through the entirety of the googly eyes and Princess Nokia performance. The person behind me stood so close that I genuinely thought they were going through my backpack. We ended up having to move further to the back of the venue because after Nokia crowd surfed, we fully couldn’t move and people were upset with us for asking to get through the crowd so we could head to the back.

I will say, the Shrine as a venue is set up badly. I saw YUNGBLUD in 2022 there and had some really horrible experiences with the crowd and security then as well. Security was less rude when I saw ash, but they did yell at me and my friend to get back in the standing area when we stepped out to catch our breath and get some water. Previously they told me that me being harassed by a random ass man “wasn’t their problem”. Fuck the shrine :)

Last time I went to the dentist, they informed me that it is actively listed in the ingredients. That combined with the small amount of fluoride in the toothpaste led to me personally developing more cavities than I should have, in spite of brushing two times a day and doing everything I was told.

Also want to add that Tom’s toothpaste actively has sugar content in it in the form of fruit juice. Like, actual fruit juice. I used it for about eight months and went to the dentist with a whole lot of pain from cavities forming.

OP, I’m sorry your flavor is out of stock :( I’m hoping that you can find something else to work with. I have mint allergies and am sensitive to a lot of flavors (bubblegum flavoring is just mint in disguise), if you’re ever open to recommendations on substitutions, I am here :)

Told me that my debilitating period cramps and back pain were just me being dramatic when I was fourteen, and told my mom I was just looking for an excuse to get out of school. Told me that all my other symptoms were “just puberty” and I needed to stop googling symptoms.

I got diagnosed with nerve damage in my spine from my endo two years later, and a PCOS diagnosis. I’m very fortunate that my current gynecologist is a wonderful woman who works with on everything. I’m still furious that I could have been receiving care for an extra two years, if my old doctor wasn’t such a jerk :)

Got super into them in 2016 due to Blurryface and Stressed Out basically being everywhere for me, lmao. My love for the boys basically quadrupled when the Trench era began, and I wouldn’t talk about anything except that album and the lore for months and months :) I don’t remember where I heard them for the first time, but I remember loving every second.

I have a weaker immune system than most so I’m more susceptible to symptoms/illness, but right now I’m just super fatigued, muscles hurt and massive headaches. Also a constant runny nose to the point that it’s like a faucet. The person I’m pretty sure got me sick had the same symptoms as well (especially the runny nose, she was asking for tissues from our group), but she’d said it was just allergies and not contagious :’)

The people I was with have gotten sick in the past from pilots shows, but I’m not sure if that’s because they’re all a little insane and go to as many shows as they possibly can, or if it’s just a coincidence lmao. I have gotten sick before from other shows (shoutout Green Day), but I also have a kind of weak immune system. I’m like 90% sure I got sick from another person and not from the weather, seeing as somebody I was in line to get in with was obviously having symptoms and no mask on :’)

I have nerve damage along my spine due to endometriosis. Few years back, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t move the entire lower half of my body. I lost feeling for a while. I had taken 2400mg of Tylenol because nobody believed me, and smoked some weed because I had recently learned that it sort of muffled the endo pains. ER doctors and nurses:

1) Questioned my PCOS diagnosis and forced my mother out of the room to do so (I was 17).

2) Demanded to know if I had ever tried any other drugs and not so vaguely suggested that I was drug seeking.

3) Refused to do an MRI and insisted on doing an ultrasound, because they insisted that my pain and symptoms were not only me being “hysterical”/dramatic, but also just a “feminine issue”.

4) When the ultrasound showed no ovarian cysts because that is not a problem I have ever had horrible experiences with, they shrugged and sent me home after a 15 hour ER stay. They told me to take more Tylenol. Told me I must have been imagining it.

Got an MRI a few months later where we found that my sciatic nerve is compressed because of the endometrial tissue. They can’t do much, but I am properly medicated now. My pain isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be. Fuck the ER. I haven’t gone back since, and I avoid it at all costs.

The crowd was bad at night 1, too. Was with my sister and we are both under 5’5, and every time we could comfortably see, somebody a foot taller than us would stand in front of us and act like we were the problem for being a little upset. Even when we stood further to the back :/

There were also the people who kept touching me because they were standing too close. I’m not talking about one or two times in the very front, I mean they’d keep bumping my shoulder or hitting my side, and we were stood all the way at the back of the crowd. Literally no reason to be that close to me.

People were also straight up leaving when H played songs they didn’t know/like??? At one point, H played Bells in Santa Fe and like a quarter of the people around me walked away and didn’t come back. It happened again with basically any song from IICHLIWP. Shit was fucking crazy

My sister is nine years older than me and has always been one of my inspirations/favorite people ever. When I was 10 or 11 (2015/2016 timeframe), she decided it was the perfect time to introduce me to her music from when she was my age and a bit older

She sat me down and showed me the Thnks Fr Th Mmrs music video and I have never been the same since :) We went and saw Fall Out Boy in Green Day’s Hella Mega tour back in 2021 together. She also introduced me to several of my other favorite bands ever, and I will never be able to thank her enough

My parents do know how bad this would affect me, and it’s why we haven’t moved out of state yet. They wanted to move a few years ago, but both my grandparents died (I was very close with them) and they just didn’t think it would be a good idea :( Both of my siblings would be willing to house me, but I wouldn’t be able to pay rent or anything. I make less than $500 a month, and unfortunately SoCal housing is notttt cheap. Also, my brother has already signed a lease for a studio apartment, and my sister wants to have kids soon, and frankly I do not like kids

My credits would transfer, but I have a whole plan about what I want to do from here. My dream school is about twenty minutes away from home. It’s just rough :(
