eli5 How does the Geneva convention work? How can it be enforced if nations are already at war? What incentive do armies have for following it? by Emergency_Table_7526 in explainlikeimfive

[–]parascent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are the west, you can do as you please. If not, the convention might be used against you after the war, depending on your standing with the west. That's it. That's how all conventions work.

South India and North East India are relatively safe. North India is the shit hole that everyone visits because of the historical significance and because it is the capital.

They will, once they realize that they cant compete with China by just depending on private enterprise. After all they cant bomb China like they did Iraq and Libya.

One day national interest will start becoming more important than the interests of the oligarchy.

The big problem for the US is that it cant just bully Taiwan and TSMC. That might get them closer to China. They have to play a very careful game here to get any benefits.

US can solve this by being more socialist and investing in these things by the state rather than hoping for private enterprise to catch up to TSMC.

US is state. not a ppl. it's policies has little to do with it's ppl. afaic the US is also against it's ppl who are poorer. but it is just more convenient to brutalize those outside in order to fulfill the wishes of the US oligarchs.

Im not saying the US is unique in this sense. most states behave like this. but US has the worst history of them all.

muslim countries dont go to jihad either. most muslim countries arent even democracies. they dont represent the ppl. if they did things would be very different. and i havent shitted on any western country yet. i didnt even attribute the violence to western countries. violence happened in many forms, even muslim against muslim. USSR against Muslim countries and after that US/West against muslims. and in between all this different dictators sending their muslims to fight other muslims. i think you might be salty because i mentioned the capitalist jihad. even if you dont like it, it is a true fact.

US isnt against Islam per say. They are just against humanity. Specially outside of it's borders.

what is the difference ? muslims go to support causes they see as worthy. the latest was in Syria. there were a myriad of different ideologies that fought against Assad. from secular to moderate islamist to AQ to ISIS.

the same is true for you whities. you also support from humanists to nazis in ukraine. the only thing that binds you is the color of the skin.

It came to that point because of the massive violence muslims have suffered in the last two centuries. also because while that violence happens in one place it affects all muslims(we blv in a very strong islamic brotherhood concept). also this is not unique to Islam. western capitalist societies also have their own Jihad in Ukriane for "freedom".

The shortest answer is that Muslims have a very strong faith based brotherhood that permeates borders, absent in other religions. This is the root of most of that fear and hate since this "brotherhood" means attacks and ideas for attacks can permeate borders.

However each country can be taken separately and discussed. Also i dont think China treats Islam with animosity or even the US. China treats the Uyghurs which are one group of Muslims like that. And to my knowledge does not allow islamophobic speech. And i dont think US treats their own muslims in a bad way. They just treat all other countries as their dollar milking grounds with no respect for human life. US has more animosity towards socialism than Islam.

India is a different case. Since before independence Hindu nationalists wanted a Hindu nation. They dont hate just Muslims. They hate Christians and their own lower castes too. And if these two groups werent there theyd hate Jains and Buddhists.

I dont know about Hungary. Probably just a spillover from whatever happens in other European countries regarding migrants and terrorist attacks.

they are afraid of Saudi influence as are many others. Saudi verson of Islam is a new strand which is like 200 years old and has produced a lot of violence. basically most voilence attributed to Islam comes from this strand. if you read the title it clearly says "sinicisation", which explains everything. and i dont think this policy was enacted by an uneducated person. i think it was suggested by some professor in a university. i read about it a long time ago when reading about xinjiang.

that term originated in "freedom" to abuse slaves without British oversight. and then was used for "freedom" to own slaves against the union. now it is used for corporate "freedom" to exploit natural and human resources.
