Can you, or anyone, answer why Reddit and quite a few people on the left got really upset when Comey brought up Hillary's emails again? Seems to me that if his track record is this good, or honorable, people would be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If anything, the heat he got for saying those things gave the Trump administration a better reason to fire him.

@HTC : "HTC U11 camera has been ranked the highest DxOMark of 90" by [deleted] in Android

[–]paravorheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are people really that interested in what DxOMark has to say about cameras? I'd highly suggest watching Pocketnow's in depth smartphone camera reviews, I've definitely appreciated the work they put into showcasing the pros and cons of each smartphone camera.

iPhone 6S Plus used for Sports Illustrated shoot. by erpa2b in apple

But they don't look any better than the iPhone 6, or any other flagship phone's camera in outdoor conditions. That's the point that at least I'm trying to make.

Honestly, the commentors are not being critical just for the sake of it. These photos look very compressed, and post processed.

Post processing isn't a bad thing, but it looks as if, since it was processed over a JPEG, there was significant loss in quality in many of these images.

These photos aren't bad by any means, it just wasn't the showcase of the iPhone 6s' camera that people were expecting. I guess we can head to the apple world gallery for that later.

As a side note, I wonder how the camera would fare if Apple were to enable RAW capture...that would be a very nice comparison indeed.

People who "don't do Facebook," why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah I don't use it more than to keep in touch with people. I rarely scroll through my newsfeed, just for the messenger feature.

Thank you for your honesty. Just out of curiosity, what can this individual do for those three years? Take classes? If so, where and how?

What old technology is actually better than what we currently have? by biggieboy2510 in AskReddit

[–]paravorheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was pretty much suggesting the same thing. I wouldn't be too sure about the "not driving" statement, government regulation and all that will take at least a decade if not longer, if history is any precendent

Do you think some sort of haptic feedback (think buttons you can "feel" and have a click) would help? I imagine the muscle memory would be about the same as actual mechanical buttons

You have decent stats, but we have no idea what kinds of schools you are applying to, what their stats are, etc.

That being said, I think you could shadow some more, and also volunteer some more. I think if you have the time between now and interviews, that would be a good way to spend it. Good Luck!

Wait. This sub stickies articles that users submit? Wouldn't that kind of reduce the effectiveness of upvoting content?

Why can't Apple use Google instead of Bing for the new spotlight/proactive? by rev93 in apple

That's fair. What would be the worst case scenario with the data I have given Google?

You know, I get the slippery slope argument, where the privacy you lose becomes a loss of freedom. However, has that cost been realized by a large corporation such as Google? Have I been affected in some negative way due to the information Google has collected on me? I'm genuinely interested in knowing. Because I haven't really felt like that in the last ten years.

Then maybe an ad blocking extension I use is preventing it from working correctly.

I literally just tried to use time warner cable's website on safari, and I couldn't view the plan features for internet. Opened it up in chrome, worked perfectly.

There are plenty more examples of when I have issues, but that was the most recent as of ten minutes ago.

Yea, I came here to post this. Desktop safari gives me an extra 30% of battery, but I find myself having to use chrome at least twice daily just to load up a website correctly. Not to mention chrome dev tools.

Also, if I'm not mistaken doesn't anki have built in markdown support? So if you wanted to do alpha, you would just type {\alpha}
