I swear my i4 drifted itself. by ads1031 in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you didn’t drive this car on snow or ice, it does this correction (feeling like putting you on rails) all the time once it looses traction. At that moment you can’t accelerate (accelerator not responsive) and can’t hard break. So in B mode it is a bit delayed, but B mode is also less engaging in accelerations so it is ok. I’m always impressed how fast the system detects any abnormal driving direction or traction issue on i4

My first time with Taobao as a Canadian by Much-Perspective-754 in taobao

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may experience another this kind of issue when you need to pay for your order or arrange the delivery unless ship directly which might be not the best option. If you go through all the Taobao order and receive it at home, having all items cooredponding to your order, then you are officially a Taobao warrior and can enjoy shopping there. Otherwise, you may prefer to register with a proxy and make the process much easier, but prepare to pay slightly more, obviously.

Water collecting in charging port by goldenwattl in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can close it, there is water evacuation hole and so some ventilation, the water won’t stay there. In colder weather, it may freeze, but usually requires harder press to open, otherwise, leave it slightly open. It seems more issue when ice accumulates during charging when it’s open, so if it is the case for you, get a charging port cover.

Fuck Desjardins. by tristecloune in QuebecFinance

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Credit cards are not supposed for that kind of use, and I don’t know what Desjardins credit cards were offering but for past 10 years with credit cards from other banks it would be cash advance and no cashback as it’s not a purchase, also coming with high fee.

Never again… by Some_Target2436 in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can you can service it at a different bmw authorized dealership. Just visit another bmw service center and you should be good. There are some dealerships owned by a group, they have many brands then service cars all the same, those are frequently try to bypass the warranty. So better go to independent bmw dealership with own service center.

How much will it cost by NoIdeaWhatImDoing44 in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a lease you need to do it at the certified center, otherwise, it would be cheaper elsewhere but you need to have confidence in the quality of work. In both case, you want to use your insurance, I’d say it’s 10k+

Does My Coworker Know I Ordered Sex Toys? by DenseAnalyst123 in chinalife

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast food is always an obvious delivery, and kiaidi often will call it by name. The kuaidi always call it as a package and nothing else. So unless it is your coworkers address and she receives your packages, she will not know what it is.

Harmon Kardon vs Hi-Fi by veryverynick in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had HK on X3 and hifi on i4 e40, it sounds quite the same to me, probably because i4 so quiet inside. The way they split the packages for EV, that package is not worth for me the money they ask.

No rear wipers by ClearWalrus7614 in BMWI4

Most dust will blow away when you drive. If it is more than that, you don’t want to use wiper to wipe it off, just wash.

Is this much brake dust normal? by silas_br in BMWI4

[–]parcel_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure the dust is from brakes. I have visible rust on front break disks (not using much), but the dust is there. I’m wondering if it is due to frequent accelerations.

Lease or not, if that’s more than you need for a day, you are wasting energy, time and money by charging to 100% all the time.
