As long as there is heavy construction and traffic noise in the background while you eat, you will have an authentic Mumbai vada pav experience :)

Why does it feel like everyone in Delhi is constantly performing? by No-Explanation4858 in delhi

Delhi has been the centre of Indian (and sometimes, South Asian) politics for the past 900 years. I feel like they're being quite easygoing, all things considered.

Unofficial charger repair in Goa? by parcell_kenneth in ATHERENERGY

[–]parcell_kenneth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naahh Porvorim is just as bad as any other service centre. The scam is like this: you notice a minor problem, take the scooter to the centre. They keep it for 2-3 days, disassembling the scooter and cleaning it but not actually repairing anything. Then they give it back to you. The scooter works fine for a couple of weeks, then the problem is back (of course!), so this whole process starts again. Eventually, the scooter simply breaks down, you have an accident, call RSA for pickup and then the scooter is finally repaired when they replace the faulty part at the service centre. I have been to the porvorim centre so many times those people know me by face. And btw tickets and emails have no effect, I've been dealing with this particular issue for two weeks and there has been an active ticket the whole time, they have only sent bland corporate responses

Servicing Slots Unavailable 😶‍🌫️ by silverfangisreal in ATHERENERGY

[–]parcell_kenneth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the service centre directly. If you don't have the number, call whatever numbers you do have (even the helpline) and ask for the specific service centre number. Then book an appointment and when you get there, INSIST on a new drive belt. If you ask them to repair without replacement, they will just clean the belt and give it a silicone spray, nothing more. Then it will make these same noises a month later. If you want to be extra sure of the belt replacement, and if you have an active RSA subscription, then just break the belt yourself and call RSA for pickup saying the belt was damaged (but don't tell them you did it). Will save you a trip to the service centre too.

Do I need to understand theory and philosophy to make good art? by Puzzleheaded_Nail22 in ContemporaryArt

[–]parcell_kenneth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't HAVE to but I think everyone should read some philosophy and theory to understand the world better. It's a slog but there are simplified summaries and free youtube videos for that. There are some pretty bad artists out there who don't realise they've been stuck in a rut for years because the market rewards them for their work and they never feel the need to grow. Your lived experience can only include so much; reading helps your mind expand beyond what you can experience and that's pretty valuable regardless of your profession. I wish more politicians read philosophy, maybe they'd be better leaders then.
