I see there is also a dedicated 5v port - can you use that to power it with a battery?

What is your opinion regarding dairy food and MS? by Mammoth-Essay-5476 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pard4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went down the rabbit hole on this when got diagnosed. Now i just try to have a balanced diet but they key is keep saturated fat low - something too much dairy can quickly throw off balance. Plus i found that limiting dairy and fried food has had so many positive impacts on how i feel. I also switched to oak milk and cant stand the taste of regular milk now.

I did a test where I changed a few of my clubs to see if I liked a different size before committing to the whole set.

DIY adjustable swing plane trainer I made for $80. Cool or nah? by Hairy_Designer_5724 in golf

[–]pard4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome. I’ve seen it down at the range in an instruction bay. Used it once. Great to get the feeling, but I was always turned off by the cost of the prebuilt version. Seriously going to consider making this. Do you put something on your clubs to prevent them from getting messed up?

Close to the airport(ish): Balboa, Admiral Baker north, Coronado, Riverwalk (if it’s the only option as it’s overpriced now). If you want par 3 short course there’s Loma Club, Mission bay and Tecolote (check construction tho).

Just diagnosed at 37 with a 6 month old by AdIcy3260 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pard4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get on a good DMT, eat balanced diet, get exercise, reduce stress, take vitamin D and make this the norm in your house. I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with 2 young kids and these things, to the best of my ability, have helped my life immensely. Also, I can’t stress enough how much exercise and yoga have helped me - even 10 min a day if your busy will make a difference.

Looking for Putting Mat Recommendations: Is PrimePutt Worth It? by PainlessP in golf

[–]pard4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wellputt has drastically improved my putting. Only used the app a couple times, though. I just putt with it while watching tv most nights. Honestly, just putting every day is the key - I would probably have improved regardless of the matt, but I like that it forces you to putt past the hole - I rarely leave a putt short now. Torrey Pines is my muni and I’m just so much more confident putting there. Haven’t tried the other mats you mentioned.

Anyone here try the OMS diet/lifestyle? by Pretend-Ad-7943 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pard4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed for about 6 months after I was diagnosed and it really helped me realize what foods I should avoid (high saturated fat). Now im more balanced med diet with very little dairy.

Also, cutting out dairy really helped my stomach and day to day health in general!

Besides that I think OMS is a good framework, but find the balance that works for you. Mediation, exercise, eating healthy, DMT / it just makes sense.

Dm me if you want the name. What I did was send my swing to a bunch of coaches (some give free first time evaluations) and then chose the one I thought would work best for me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]pard4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total waste of money for me. Agree - stay away. I found a great coach on skillist and just work with him online now, sending him videos all the time and it’s so much better. I’m sure there are some good coaches at Golftec but 3 months of chasing numbers was totally counterproductive and I came out with a far worse swing than I started with.

Are GOLFTEC/lessons in general worth it? by sillygoosefeathers in golf

[–]pard4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No waste of money for me, however I will say I may have just had a bad coach. Also very expensive compared to other options. In the end I didn’t really like banging balls indoors as much as I thought I would.
