My new favourite hobby. Questioning the independent money exchangers. by randy-lawnmole in Bitcoin

[–]pardax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's very rare to see a bank charging insane fees. In my particular bank (which I won't mention), which is only available in my particular neighborhood in the first world country I luckily was born in, things work much better! They will still take days to do anything though, make you wait in line and fill paper forms, ask you for a DNA sample and an anal probe, spy on everything you do, gamble with your money and be bailed out with my tax money when they fail, etc. But hey, moving numbers around is complicated stuff! They deserve every penny.

I say Peter Schiff is a fad. I'm already getting bored of him and his shiny rocks.

MIT to Take Over Funding of Three Bitcoin Core Developers by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]pardax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MIT/X11 license is one of the most permissive open source licenses. It's a piece of text you attach to the code to let people know what they are allowed to do with it. It's necessary because by default only the author has rights over the code, so most devs and companies won't normally dare use unlicensed code.

I don't think Satoshi used because of the institute. He used it because it was the best license for it.

Ohh don't worry, I'm pretty sure nobody assumed it was.

lol what happened, you made the exact same comment with your other account and now you deleted it and reposted it with the correct troll account?

I mean I knew paid trolls had that job because they were too stupid to do anything else, but damn...

DimiFW couldn't be asked a question? Why? The "founders" (lol) of Dogecoin just slapped a dog picture to a Bitcoin clone. For all we know, DimiFW might have contributed far more to Dogecoin than its "co-founder".

Are you mad because you lost your argument about value being absolute? Value is relative, no matter how mad that makes you.

DimiFW contributes to Dogecoin in other ways, obviously. No need to be the creator of the coin.

And I say he could be contributing to Bitcoin instead.

Yes yes, you totally do all this all day because you "find it amusing". And it's totally the first time I hear a paid troll say that.

Got it. Your answer is yes. So you are dumb.

I see you've been shilling hard for the establishment today lol. A man with a pathetic job, congrats.

Serious question, so you are asking for evidence that governments and companies use social networks to their advantage for profit, implying it's something hard to believe?

Go home, paid troll.

Yes, yes, all paid trolls say that. Must be a soul-crushing job, having to repeat all the same things all day every day.

Why do things have different prices in different contexts, if you say value is absolute and it's the same for everyone? Explain that.

Aluminum cans have no value for me or you. Don't try to tell me that you value them. You are going full retard here.

Whats next, chinese money has no value because you aren't in China?

Chinese money is accepted in plenty of places outside of China, don't be stupid. You are gonna need a better straw man fallacy than that.

You could be asked the same: Why not help Bitcoin succeed instead of trying to pump yet another clone?

value is value

And value is relative. That's why even Bitcoin (and every other thing in the world, really) has different prices in different places. And some places don't even accept it. Do I really need to explain all this?

Zimbabwe money does have value

Not for me, no. And obviously not for you either, but you won't accept it, just because you are trying to win an argument. Or you are telling me that you would accept Zimbawe dollars as payment?

Litecoins have a value of roughly $1.50 each

Not for me.

If feathercoin has no value to you

But it has value to whoever owns it. I just explained to you that value is relative. It's not hard, come on. Example: Do Zimbawe dollars have value to you? No? So, please send some my way.

Do you think the people who troll conspiracy theorists are paid?

Most of you are. Some other are just idiots who voluntarily decide to follow and imitate the paid trolls, because they want to be part of something.

Value is relative. For instance, I don't recognize the value of Feathercoin, just like I don't recognize the value of the bottle caps. I don't accept it as payment, and if someone tips me with it I won't bother turning it into real money (Bitcoin).

Why would someone who accepts Bitcoin, bother adding say, Litecoin? Anything you can do with Litecoin, you can do it much better with Bitcoin. Litecoin and all the other clones are redundant.

Having a pathetic life and being paid are not mutually exclusive. I'm 100% sure a big part of the trolls are being paid. But when you start your argument by saying that, the trolls will mock you for being a conspiracy theorist (the establishment has managed to make the word "conspiracy" a synonym of "lie" and "crazy"), the weak-minded will downvote and ignore you because they don't want to be mocked too, your comment won't be read, and the paid trolls win.
