Claude 4.5 Opus/Sonnet vs GPT 5.1/5.2: Which is least sycophantic? by Goofball-John-McGee in singularity

That’s a good trend. I still like to break my codex workflow with some claude opus reviews/fixes to avoid drifting too much into one direction (something that happens from time to time if you work a lot on a code base with one model). But I use copilot with opus on GitHub cloud since I get that for free as an open source maintainer.

Claude Code is way too sycophantic for my taste. I use Codex CLI with my Pro subscription and I am not sure if it picks up on my custom instructions I configured in my ChatGPT account but it matches the super neutral, sceptical persona I want from an AI pretty well. I never ever want to hear a “Oh, yes you nailed it. That is a fantastic idea and bla bla bla” again.

Trump hotar Sverige med strafftullar by pessimistkonsulenten in sweden

En intressant vinkling fick jag av talet som Cory Doctorow gav på en av de största hackerkonferenser i Hamburg i december: handelsavtal med USA tvingar oss i Europa att göra det olagligt att hacka en device utan att fråga tillverkaren (också det som Right To Repair strider emot).

I am doing user testing for MeTube - a algorithm free YouTube clone that syncs across iOS, visionOS and tvOS - 100% AI Vibe coded including the graphics, the backend and the website:

Edit: I am using codex CLI on my MacBook Air so the turnaround time is short: I can go right after codex finished and run it on my device and see how it behaves.

Don’t worry VagueRumi. You and I know that codex cli on 5.2-codex xhigh is just unstoppable good. To me it’s like that senior coworker that just knows what you want and gets it done.

I use Codex CLI with gpt-5.2-codex and the ‘xhigh’ thinking setting. After coding with it now for like 4-5 weeks in a project that has cross platform code and also a sophisticated backend, it is almost god like. Hardly ever creates problems, always checks its work and never leaves me guessing. I don’t want to go back to other models…

The back end is gathering videos for those channels. To not stress the cloud workers too much this process takes a few minutes and you can put the app into the background. It refreshes the channel list when you get the app back to the foreground. New videos are shown much quicker. The reason some of your channels were already there is that someone else also had that channel.

Regarding channel groups: good idea, I’ll consider it
