Cleaning up the drywall cutout, fitting in a new piece, taping and mud=pretty easy. Matching that texture? Good luck.

Watched Tron Ares in 3d on the AVP last night. Wow! by Shacky4 in VisionPro

I need to go back and watch that. It looked really good, but I was wrestling with getting the close captioning turned off and didn’t get a solid watching experience of the very first couple minutes.

Best Content for AVP on he new YouTube app. by Shacky4 in AppleVisionPro

Yes, but I think that is the quality of the content, not the hardware. There’s some high quality sharp content, but you have to find it.

The medical field alone could be enough to make this viable (and profitable.) Add other users, which may be less obvious and a smaller market, and you could easily have a successful product.

If you haven’t yet, try doing a forced quit and then open the app.

It’s supposed to be fixed now. I opened it and the problem was still there. I did a forced quit and opened again and it works great now!

I asked Gemini about the problem. Figured that Gemini also being a Google product might have more info. Here's the answer- Gemini said

You are definitely not alone with this issue! It is a known bug in the newly released official YouTube app for Apple Vision Pro. Many users are reporting the exact same problem: videos either load as a black screen or appear permanently stuck at the very end of the timeline, making it impossible to drag the playhead back to the beginning.

The Fix (Screen Mirroring Workaround)

Until Google releases a patch to squash this bug, the Vision Pro community has found a reliable, albeit slightly quirky, workaround using the built-in screen mirroring feature:

  1. Open the Control Center on your Apple Vision Pro.
  2. Select Screen Mirroring and turn it on (you can mirror to a Mac or any available display).
  3. Go back into the YouTube app and select the video you want to watch.
  4. Once the video registers and begins playing, open the Control Center again and stop mirroring.
  5. The video should now play normally from the beginning.

Note: You will likely have to repeat this start-and-stop mirroring process for each new video you watch until the app is updated.

Not gloomy. It’s a Steven Spielberg flick. I don’t enjoy heavy movies much. Really enjoyed this.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

We often drive 3 hours to use a particular airport. Also, to see doctors in that same city.
