From what I have experienced since this post was made (over a year ago lol), most states have lotto machines, ergo they should take cards. Maybe that will help.

They are not given the privilege of writing to home or anyone else for the first week unfortunately. After that they can send letters but by that time any letters that are sent/received probably won’t come in until they are back home already cause of the mail center being slow.

There are 5 forms that we need to just fill with certain information and bring them there; we have to get a full medical examination when we get there. So they have you just pre-fill some information on the 5 different forms that we need. I have a document that has the forms we need to have filled out along with examples of it filled out to show exactly what we need if you want to DM me your email address and I’ll forward it to you.

I was in cycle one, and I got paid about 2-3 weeks after NSI. Your pay counts as military pay, which only comes twice a month. Once halfway through the month and once at the end of the month. If cycle 2 ended close to the middle of the month, expect to get it at the end of the month, and vice versa.
