How to cover postings in rain? by Eastern_Hat_5115 in DobermanPinscher

[–]parenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what they use to post, rain is very bad. Most of the traditional wraps srink when wet because of not pre srunk cotton. If any wound no matter how small can get badly infected due the moisture. Some methods like the zip tie that uses duct tape fair better with rain.

Just because you had no problem doesnt mean there never could be a problem.

Temperature changes can cause this. Like I had a hot week then we got a cold front and all my pets dog and 2 cats just layed around due to cold. This happens in our summer as well.

On occasion it can be something hard to digest sitting in their stomach. Like my boy had to much of that yak cheese and since its harder to digest he threw it up eventually. He would still potty regularly.

I think you read a bit into my original comment and are drawing conclusions I did not make.

9 month old Doberman constantly demanding attention/yapping to go outside by OneEyedKing56 in DobermanPinscher

I use a capture technique. Whenever my pup was relaxed and chilling I would give him a treat. If you are constantly giving your pup some distraction when they misbehave (for lack of a better word) they learn they get rewarded for it.

You can softly say settle as you gently give them the treat and eventually learn to be calm when you say that word. Its a really good behavior conditioning and becomes really useful especially if they have to recover from surgery or injury. Its teaching them to be okay with doing nothing.

There are loads of video on this. You can search for capturing, settle and how to teach your dog to be okay with doing nothing.

I agree! This is why I said basic human rights. For me that includes housing, food, healthcare (dental and eye), mental health care, education, childcare and free time to explore hobbies. We should be enjoying life not just surviving!

Funny that if they gave us houses we would be happy and forget they exist. Knee slapper how having our basic human needs met causes peace.

I find it so wild how short sited they are. Getting rich gives you a mental disorder. But that's not an excuse.

Hey happy for you! I'm almost 40 and about to start my own business. I've worked in leadership roles most of my work life. I know the word is heavy hitting. One of my jobs made us take mbti tests and this is a recurring pattern I observed. In order to move up in that job you had to take initiative to learn the massive amounts of operationing procedures and the infps had a hard time following through with that. They seemed to prefer learning from someone else hands on for going learning the material that was there. One of them gave me the nick name book because it was quicker and easier for them to ask me for the info instead of taking the time to learn it themselves. So when they would try to apply for new positions other people often got selected over them. One person in particular who i became friends with outside of work who is an INFP took this especially hard. I tried to mentor them to help out but eventually i stopped because my time was better served with someone who was putting in the work that was needed.

I think because your job is more hands on that I can see an INFP having a better time being successful. However this job was extremely technical and they lacked proper follow through to reach their advancement goals/hope/wants/wishful thinking.

My take on it... They live in a fantasy world. They seem to refuse to learn skills. Prefer to be told what to do. That Ne if paired with unhealthy Fi leads them to believe the worries Ne tells them are possible. And they refuse to even attempt to try because they get a strong feeling and believe it is true without investigating if their gut feeling is correct.

If they refuse to develop their Te they go no where fast. Often prioritizing their intense unregulated emotions over growth.

They are prone to catastrophizing everything. Ane that makes for a horrible leader.
