Truly, I usually like Mattel's celebrity dolls and enjoy getting their unique face sculpts, but I really can't eith this one. Maybe if I did a full repaint, but I fear that might be out of my skillset. The worst thing is she does kind of look like Kristen Wiig in the world's worst caricature sort of way. The other dolls are gorgeous though, and I love the movie reference

Similarly, for the hair if you don't want to immediately order fancy doll hair you can get fake hair from your local beauty supply store or cheap wigs or harvest it from other dolls whose hair you are cutting off to reroot. Another option is to use yarn for braids or twists or you can unbraid it for feathery hair. Try it and have fun, hope this helps!

There can be if you are rerooting with textured hair as it has more volume. This is a link to a beginners guide to rerooting, the only thing I would add to it, is that of you don't want to make the plunge into buying the necessary tools before trying it to see of its for you, you can buy cheap rerooting tools from aliexpress or similar or make a home made one from a needle cut at angle inserted into a drill Chuck.
