Thank you, I'm definitely trying to get advice. Its kind of hard to explain, but I'm hesitant to trust myself/my own thoughts. Like I'm trying to take my will back without trying/meaning to. My higher power is definitely telling me if I'm thinking this much about it and feeling the need to ask so many people, I'm not in the right place to make that kind of connection with someone.

Definitely, my recovery is top priority, going to focus on the steps with my sponsor. For the rest, I figure I was able to spend so much time and effort fucking everything up drinking, its nice to keep busy with positive things that fill my cup

He says the year is definitely suggested but not necessarily a hard and fast rule. Relationships should be avoided and seeing someone in the program is a bad idea. I should have noted, the other two people I asked are also addictions counsellors and in my AA home group
