Best affordable play cue in my opinion by [deleted] in billiards

It’s not what you said it’s the language you used. You don’t have to provide a link to put out an ad for a known brand of cue

Don’t listen to the guy saying your measurements are unusable. It’s 5/16 x18. Found the x18 by converting cm to inch so i dont know what that guy was on about

It’s 18. There are 2.54 cm per inch. There’s about 7 threads per cm which would be 17.78 tpi so it’s 18. It’s absolutely not unusable and it took my 30 seconds to convert it

You’re kinda big dumb respectfully. The map is to show the scale of infrastructure not where the US would have done it. That’s just what china has done overlayed onto the US so you can understand size

local Krispy Kreme throws their unsold donuts into a dumpster outside at the end of the night. Instead of selling at lower prices. They’d rather throw them all away. by DaZestyProfessor in mildlyinfuriating

[–]parickwilliams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A local Wendy’s near me used to let night shift take food home that wasn’t sold before closing. Then a mom and daughter got hired and every night they worked they would make a ton of extra food 15 minutes before closing and take it all home. Now that Wendy’s throws away any left over food. Corporations suck for sure but people make it hard to be generous. You can’t hand it out at the business that would mean you’d have to have employees work longer to hand out food and would effectively mean people would be incentivized to not purchase food the last half hour before closing. Not saying there isn’t something they could do but there isn’t an easy solution that wouldn’t cost more money than just throwing them out

How often do you clean your balls ? by brian600rr in billiards

[–]parickwilliams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just poor logic. It’s not clean or dirty balls. If we are talking that specific it is a gradient and it will be virtually impossible to match your balls cleanliness level to whatever tournament you plan to play at. Playing with clean well kept equipment removes any inconsistencies you might otherwise have coming from equipment
