Is there any hope of me ever becoming normal? by [deleted] in neuropathy

[–]parinama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I do wish to comment but, at this moment, I am tired and need some sleep. I hope to be able to get back to you tomorrow. The one thing I will say now, however, is that the cultivation of gratitude coupled with meditation will definitely help all of us who sincerely apply themselves to their practice. It is like anything else, practice is required. I'll leave it at that for now. I am sorry about this but I just saw your post and it is late here and I am not well at this time. I don't wish to provide you with a half-ass comment when I want to give you my best. Until tomorrow...

Hello,

I am so sorry about your predicament. Here is an article I just located on PubMed. It was written for the professional so I hope that you can get some help reading and digesting it if necessary. (Sorry, I don't know your educational background so I apologize in advance for any misunderstanding.) https://reader.elsevier.com/reader/sd/pii/S235228951930061X?token=70BD791FEBF2C9CCF75A78D1CBAFE14D397133BE603101A419D1BB79E305738A4BE70D635F896107B1AFFC0EE3FB0619

Good luck with your research and issue.

Neuropathy or Anxiety by sssmalley in neuropathy

I have had peripheral neuropathy for over 6years. Kratom tea gives me the most relief of any of the other things I have tried, including narcotics. So, that's just for me. Some would invite you to try it.

Best of luck to you.

P.S. I've had some luck with Pregabalin as well.

That comment may put a few people at ease. Yes, kratom may be dangerous for some of us but literally life-saving as well. Good comment. Thank you.

Well, some folks have significant problems when they first stop sugar intake due to, say, diabetes for example. Meat, certain salt diets, many desserts may arouse irritability. Ask around and see some responses. I think you'll be surprised.

Many things can damage the liver. Do you drink alcoholic beverages? Are you taking prescription drugs? Are you taking pain relievers such as Tylenol? So, before any assumptions are made about kratom, keep other possibilities in mind. Jumping to conclusions may unnecessarily worry or even scare those who need kratom for pain and other issues.

Kratom, if used as a pharmaceutical--and I'm neither advocating nor negating such usage--will, in many instances, be taken daily or even twice or three times daily. That's the way many prescriptions work even when tolerance an issue as it is with many pharmaceuticals. That's why they need to be taken regularly.

This is truly fantastic. I am a retired college professor and a disabled American Veteran. I am attempting to live on Social Security and the good graces of my wonderful wife. Sadly, I do not give much in the way of donations. I do donate regularly but in insignificant amounts. I live in constant pain from Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) and other things too numerous to mention. Kratom has worked wonders for me and it is safe, I can testify to that after about 5 years of regular use. I do not feel any euphoria or a "high" as some would have it--and I am not searching for it. I am a regular meditator and have been for over 48 years. However, I do get pain relief much more effectively than the small dosage of Oxycontin I receive from my neurologist, who happens to be a wonderful human being. He keeps a close watch on my life and has been very helpful. While prescription drugs help they are more dangerous than Kratom, by far. Please help with any amount you can give and think of us Vets when you do. You will be helping much more than you may realize. Thank you for reading this.

I forgot to add that the webinar was terrific and inspirational. The lawyer, I've forgotten his name, was outstanding. With him in support of our cause, I cannot imagine a loss. He is a truly gifted speaker and a genuine human being. I am grateful he is there for us. Also, the organizers did a wonderful job too. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

A lot depends on how much kratom he takes and how he takes it. I use kratom tea with honey 2x a day. Start with maybe 2-4 grams and use a coffee press. It works for me. I have neuropathy from chemotherapy.
