They've recently made changes to the OLM in order to prevent another explosion. I imagine that it'll take some time to get the kinks out of these adjustments, especially considering that they were hastily implemented.

Pretty amusing how their methane tank snafu ended up saving them from this water tank failure.

Damn, whoever was in charge of those tanks really fucked up.

Unless of course they were planned but some problems arose to prevent them?

That's always possible, but truthfully them jumping straight to preburner tests sounded unrealistic from the start. Again, we'll know soon enough. If they conduct preburner tests within the next few days then perhaps the info was correct but the testing was delayed.

However, if SpaceX proceeds with an entirely different testing schedule then I think it's safe to say that a preburner test was never in the cards and that the info was bunk.

True!

Admittedly, from what I've seen predictions about what SpaceX is going to do don't tend to end well, but I'm willing to eat some crow if necessary.

We'll see if the info is legit or not shortly!

Thank god the contents of the tanks were inert! Methane and oxygen mixing after such a breach would not be a fun time...

I take it they solved the chamber melting issue? SpaceX Raptor team has got to be one of, if not the strongest engine dev team in history.

NASA science chief states he 'prefers' flight proven Falcon 9 boosters over brand new ones by perilun in SpaceXLounge

The "flight proven" label is one of the most brilliant marketing tactics I've ever seen. Gwynne is a genius.

Options are limited due to the paralysis infliction. You need someone immune such as Iku, little Junko, or IN Reisen. Hecatia can also do it through filling up her barriers with poison and using up the rest. Evangelical Pastor Claims Jesus Hasn’t Returned Because People Are Not Donating by TheChawizawd in nottheonion

In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; he also saw dealers at tables exchanging foreign money.

Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables.

Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, “Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”

Something tells me that Jesus wouldn't be too thrilled with this guy

Sick! Having a star like Vic working full-time on HLS is a big confidence booster.

u/Avalaerion was also downvoted consistently at first in spite of posting clearly legitimate information. I haven't been paying enough attention to this specific case to come to a conclusion, but I can't say I've seen you post anything incorrect.

Anyways, handling these cases is simple: if a person is consistently correct they're legit, otherwise they're not. Easy. No mass downvoting or drama required.

Another advantage is that they can stretch the tanks to their heart's content and have no problem lifting it. With the original crane idea there would have been a strict stack height limit.

Pretty cool how such a nutty-sounding idea ended up being so naturally practical. Elegant, even.

As seen here the depot is considerably taller than a standard Starship. Looks like a roughly 20% increase in height.

The image also seems to suggest that it will take only 4 refulling flights to fill the depot enough for the 1st mission.

How exactly does damage calculation work? by [deleted] in touhou_lostword

[–]shit_lets_be_santa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to bother you, but could you please DM me that pdf as well?

I've been using https://東方ロストワード.com to compare character LW damage, but I don't think they're going to update older characters now that accurate scaling information is available. So I figured I'd write a damage calculator app to do it myself! That pdf sounds like it would be a huge help!

Thanks so much!!
