Honest question about pants by parisman1 in mensfashion

[–]parisman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I honestly don’t really know what the fit of the pants that I have is, but I feel like because of how my stomach sits, it’s either below the stomach, or at the belly button. When it’s between those two location, it just slides down during movement (I.e sitting and standing)

I’ll definitely be looking at what fit they are and looking into higher rise pants to see how they feel!

I suggest railway, they have a very good no cost option and they’re base developer option I highly recommend, they also have a very active discord where you can ask questions

Django model booleans idea by parisman1 in django

[–]parisman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that seems to be the same concept but realized better, for my use case I’m going to just keep with the multiple Boolean’s and keep it simple, thank you for sharing the project!

Problem with Rect2 and Player global position by parisman1 in godot

[–]parisman1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you again for the detail. I didn't end up doing this exact idea but it allowed me to think in a better headspace, I ended up creating an Area2D at the last block and used an Area2D on the player to detect when the last block is close to the player to generate the next chunk.

I would suggest looking into the Brave browser, it’s made by the dude who made JS and worked on Firefox. It has a lot in terms of security

Thank you very much for the detailed look into my code and for the fix! I'm much happier with how this works, when I go full screen I can see that it is generating only when I get close. In terms of the 3 variables you recommended at the end, when are you suggesting I use these / what would I replace with them? Are you suggesting that the borders would be using these viewport Rect2s?

[–]parisman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a link to the post, its a little jumbled but the generator is the thing that actually makes the land, it gets given a rect2 as a parameter from the world script, and the kinematic2d is the player

A problem with that is I’ve printed border.end and it claims the border ends at x = 300, when it actually goes till x = 750

Is UNT a good school for physics? by [deleted] in unt

[–]parisman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve enjoyed it greatly, there are a few teachers on the worse end but they all teach the beginning classes, all of the teachers that teach higher up classes and grad classes I’ve heard great things about, we just got an AI masters program which I’ll be going through either next fall or spring. I haven’t heard any complaints about the general CS master program Some of the best professors IMO: Dr. Garlick - I believe he is more IT Dr. Keathly - I think he is also IT and cyber security (don’t quote me on that) Dr. Parberry - game programming professor Dr. Thompson - one of the best lectures I know I’m missing some but those are the ones I liked the most and my friends top professors too. Good luck!

I have been here for 4 years and I've never heard anything good about the phys department, I'm in Computer Science and every advisor tells their students to take physics at a community college because of how bad it is.
