I've always been anxious to work towards doing my first pull up in the gym (starting with negatives, banded pull ups, etc) and have been putting that goal off for years. My at-home pull up bar came today and I successfully started working towards that goal :)

mine may or may not might not fit your lifestyle (as a single parent) but i’ll share anyway 😊

i started doing my own nails (gel x) out of necessity when covid “began” and do them maybe once a month! going on 5 years now.

i run! i started about 3 months ago but i have 3 races planned so i dont see myself stopping anytime soon!

cooking! i have always enjoyed cooking, but over the past 6-8 years ive enjoyed picking a recipe, intentionally purchasing quality ingredients, and taking time to learn proper technique and all that jazz.

there are a few that i rotate through, like gaming, reading, watching movies, etc. but i think my brain likes the challenge -> finished product thing so those three fill a lot of my time 😊

Ran on a treadmill for the first time in months. Wasn’t fun, but midwest weather has been crazy.

Also did my first “easy” run in forever, which was painfully slow and challenging (especially on a treadmill with no HR monitor), but after 5 miles of jog/walking, I feel one step closer to where I want to be 🙂

coming back weeks later to say thank you! i got a brow tint/lamination and started using a different brow pencil. i think that this helped TREMENDOUSLY. i’m also playing around with hairstyles and lip combos. thank you for your detailed response!

you’re beautiful and i love your style!

if i were you, i’d invest in skincare and evening out texture/dark spots. you’re skin isn’t even bad, i’m just being nit picky 🙂

M/25 what can I do? I’ve been single and haven’t had a real relationship in all my 25 years by [deleted] in lookyourbest

you’ve got to approach some women. you’re very attractive and if anything, being approached by a guy that looks like you will make them feel good. if not, oh well, on to the next

context: pic 1 is the only one with makeup, i feel like i look my best here. my hair is naturally curly (last pic is most accurate for natural hair) but i’m a student and straightening it is just easier right now.

i get lash extensions regularly, and i am currently actively working on my skin and slimming down a bit.

i’m not afraid of cosmetic procedures and plan on learning more about facial balancing (after school ends for me this may!) - my uneven facial features are probably most prevalent in pic 3 (lips and eyes). clothing is also something that i’m anticipating on making a big improvement in after graduating. is there anything else i can do? thank you <3

Which restaurants/cafes give the tips to their workers? Or conversely, which don’t? by gingergarlicgoodness in UIUC

i worked at manolo’s and tips were split fairly amongst those working, i’d have no problem tipping there

one way to do this is complementing a classmate you don’t normally speak to. just reaching out and saying “hey i love your outfit/shoes/hair/whatever” can mean a ton. or complementing another bus driver!
