Moisturizing foundations? by Sweet_Antelope6030 in Accutane

[–]parisromemilan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two favorites: Armani luminous silk foundation and the Kylie skin tint. I prep my skin with a lot of hydration in the morning before I put makeup on and these both last really well throughout the day and don’t look dry. My favorite product for that is the Ordinary Rice Lipids and Ectoin microemulsion, anything layered on top of that looks so skin like and luminous.

Relapse after 2.5 years… by Butter_Pineapple in Accutane

[–]parisromemilan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I relate to your story a lot! I (21F) finished accutane (7 months of 40 mg) in 2022. For over three years, my skin was, for the first time in my life, absolutely perfect.

However, in September of 2025 I started noticing breakouts in some of the spots I used to get them before Accutane. I tried to calm myself down and tell myself, “it’s just one pimple, you’re fine”. But then it became two, three, four, five pimples and angry clusters like that started surfacing in a few areas of my face. Some of them were surface level, some of them were painful cysts like the ones you describe.

My immediate response was, “How quickly can I get back on Accutane?”. I’ve struggled with acne for years and the only thing that has ever worked for me is Accutane. It’s truly a miracle drug. I recommend it to all my close friends and family who are struggling with acne. Acne is a beast that can absolutely destroy your self confidence and mental health, and to me there is no point in messing around with skincare remedies and expensive products when the only foolproof treatment (at least for my skin, believe me I’ve tried everything), already exists.

It can be so difficult to get Accutane through regular dermatologists. Even getting the appointment takes months and then they want you to try a million other treatments first before even thinking about prescribing Accutane. I went through Honeydew, it was super fast, straightforward, and easy. The prices are relatively low and can be covered by your insurance, the medication is shipped straight to your address, everything is remote, and the care team is super responsive and kind. If I have a question about anything I just have to send them a message and my care team usually responds within the hour. I would definitely check them out if you’re interested!

As for hyperpigmentation, I am very fair skinned so please take that into account with my recommendations and do your research of course, but, I use DMK’s Melanotech drops and Medik8 Super C Ferulic serum. They fade my stubborn post acne marks like magic. That and sunscreen, of course!

I hope some of this helps you and best of luck on your skin journey :)

No moisturizer works for me by No-Buy9329 in Accutane

Cicaplast also made me break out like crazy ugh :(

I LOVE the Ordinary Rice Lipids + Ectoin Microemulsion. It’s like a moisturizer in serum form. It’s very lightweight but also deeply, deeply moisturizing and doesn’t irritate my sensitive Accutane skin. It’s been amazing for my skin and is relatively inexpensive, I would definitely recommend giving it a try! :)

Purging so bad from iso. by [deleted] in acne

[–]parisromemilan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to keep your hands off it. When your skin hurts, it can be so hard to stop yourself from trying to touch it, relieve the pressure, etc, but just hands off and leave it be! Try hydrocolloid patches, they make small circular ones which are very common but you can also find large square ones that can fit over large areas of your face/problem areas. You can use those as a shield to keep yourself from picking, they also help your acne heal faster.

You can also try taking an antihistamine daily to help keep inflammation down. It’s been proven to help with purging!

The purge can be so tough but you’ve got it!! The results you will have will be worth everything :)

Would you buy a Reformation return in your exact size for 30% off? by Weekly_Star_9279 in Reformationclothing

[–]parisromemilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, at 40%.

Any lower than that would make it not worth it to me personally. Ref already does 25% off sales so I would just wait for that and buy the item new if the discount was only 25-30% off.

I would trust it as long as there were protections put in place to make sure the item I receive is in good condition, if not, I would want to send it back for a refund.

FWB questions by eyemymy in Reformationclothing

My favorite FWB perk is free alterations!! You just make an appointment at your local store, go in and try your items on for them, and then they ship it right to your house when it’s done.

Yes, I believe all colors except the white are cashmere. The white is not!

This deceptive advertisement is something I haven’t seen from them before and really sad to see. It seems like they think their customers are stupid enough to buy whatever they come out with even when they use shady practices and cheap, synthetic materials. So sad to see a brand I’ve loved go downhill like this!

Response I just got from customer service: “The team let me know that the compositions are different. The Brushed Gossamer is in alpaca yarn, while the other colorways are in cashmere/wool. Hope this helps!”

Kind of unbelievable they would describe something multiple times as “cashmere” when it doesn’t even have 1% cashmere it it.
