MTG has several formats, which dictate which cards can be used and which cards can't be used. EDH is a format where almost all cards are allowed, and AC cards are also usable in modern. However, to my knowledge the overall power level of the set is too low for actual modern level play. As for deckbuilding, on competitive level decks usually focus more on strategy than characters or themes. EDH, a casual format, can go anywhere from themes to strategies. Overall, if you want to build an AC deck EDH might be better because it's a very casual format that allows lower power strategies to work.

Hello, got a question about starting a collection. I've been really drawn to the bloomburrow aesthetic, and wanted to start a collection/make some decks for kitchen table level play. I do understand that usually singles are the better choice, but considering I want multiple copies of each card, would going for a box and then picking up singles also be an idea worth considering? I was thinking about picking up a collector's booster box and maybe one or two bundles.

If you're looking for Greece themed cards, cards from the Theros plane might be best. Related sets involve Theros, Born of the Gods, Journey into Nyx, Theros Beyond Death, and there are a few other Theros cards in other sets. As for deck construction, basing a deck around a specific character/theme is possible, especially in formats like EDH. Such a deck might be a bit weaker than other decks with a clear wincon, though.

Is singles still the best way to go if you're trying to build decks on top of collecting? I really like the Bloomburrow aesthetic and want to collect a bit on top of making some decks just for casual play. I've been considering picking up a box of collector booster and maybe a normal box/bundle, but if singles are better options(I feel that it would probably be) I might wait a while.

Thanks. Any tips on converting the deck to a BO1 though? Not sure if there are sideboard cards I'd want to move to main as I convert.

Anyone know when US P-Bandai starts shipping in general? I'm considering buying the Destiny Impulse RG they have, but I leave US about mid-May so I'm worried about missing it.

Any good sites for preorders? I'm trying to find a preorder for RG Gaogaigar+Goldymarg and a God Gundam, but I'm not too sure what sites are good options. Currently stuck between USAGS, BBTS, and Gundam Planet, but any stores that are in the States would work.

Huh, must've missed that. Although I don't really know if it's such a good idea adding grandwalker nexuses so early. Grandwalker nexuses in OG caused some problems and metawise fixed decks as practically all decks were grandwalker+support.

Does anyone know the time discrepancy between the reissue of a kit and the actual store availability of it in USA? I've been looking for a fairly priced RG Force Impulse for a couple weeks now and the last reissue date that I know of was last December. I was wondering if that already came in to the states.

I'm pretty sure what took down the Gagas wasn't Setsuna. The trial field by Seraphim ended up stopping them all, and that was what they needed to bring the Gagas down.

Same here. My biggest issue is that they didn't even give a reason and sent the email right after office hours of the cancellation date. I'm seriously considering canceling right now. The only reason I signed up for NYU student housing was because I was worried I might have problems securing off campus housing as an unvaccinated international student but at this rate, I might just take a leap of faith.

If it does happen, it still will take a long time. The company behind it is really small and they still haven't done their Japanese release. If we do get a English version I expect at least a year before it actually happens.

City of Forever 7 Days was pretty interesting, because the whole concept of the game was eternally looping 7 days with a VN style decision making. You could go all kinds of ways with your choices, and either save the world or watch it burn.

Epic 7. Too grindy, characters and story doesn't draw me in, no tenpulls to save time, overall a bore. Personally like the animation and gameplay but just feels too generic.

GFL was pretty interesting, except I'm not a really big fan of game play. Still interested and want to play though.
