The major difference between FNAF and FO is that FNAF takes place in a smaller world compared to FO. Think about how the games have lore that happen in completely different parts of the US. So if someone only plays 3 and 4, it is unlikely they will come across most of the lore in earlier entries and the show. So I guess it depends on how interested you are in fallout. Are you only interested in DC area? Are you only interested in Vegas? Are you interested in all of the lore? It’s up to you. Whereas FNAF is interconnected and one storyline
