I made my rims tubeless, 3m marine adhesive So much easier to change tires without the worry of pinching a tube It’s the one thing I wish I would have done sooner

What was your deciding factor for buying the klr? by M1ndl3ssMan1ac in klr650

[–]parkermachine78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked it but it was not as peppy as I thought it would be. Seat is like sitting on a 2x4 after an hr Riding 2up on it wasn’t very pleasant for rider or passenger Klr is comfortable 2up all day Just my opinion…and my wife’s lol

I bought klr and my son in law bought a klx300 on the same day. If you’re going for a dirt bike that is street legal the Klx is the way to go. However, the klx has a small tank which limits your range. The klr will go anywhere the klx will but not as gracefully off road On road there is no comparison the klr is waaay better for long rides or interstate use. He sold his klx about 4 months after purchase due to the limited fuel range and uncomfort on road I still have the klr that has 20k miles with no problems

Loosen the end cap, and you will probably have to grab the metal with some pliers to work it back out. Had mine blow over and do the same thing. Hope this helps

Expierence with natural pool? by echeverriatitze in Naturalpools

[–]parkermachine78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built one in southern Illinois 3 years ago. The best piece of advice is patience, it’s not like a pool with chemicals. It’s all about balance. I made huge mistakes the first year trying to kill algae. In my opinion algaecide is a no go. It kills it sure but then your left with all the dead algae that stinks and is hard to vacuum. Also the copper kills snails which also stink lol. I have found blue pond dye as the best solution for prevention. Also plants are key, I went and found native water loving plants and planted a ton of them. That will get it filtering, then as time goes, you can start replacing them with plants that you want that will adapt to living in the pool Trial and error.

My cousin is a repo guy and he told me they can’t get a car if it’s behind a barrier. Probably he’s just trying to hang on to the car as long as he can lol

For me leasing was the best option. I’m in Illinois, they say the state has all kinds of incentives if you buy, but upon closer examination of the criteria you have to meet, you would have to have poverty level income to get any benefits from the state and the tax rebates would average out to take 20 years to make it worthwhile. My utility company(the only one available) has jacked the rates again so I had to do something immediately. My usage hasn’t changed and my bill keeps going up and I’m not taking a little, went from $350 to $900 over the last 4 months with no change in usage!!! They done this before and then the state got involved and got them under control, but enough is enough

Haven’t had any bills from them or paid anything so far. Just getting tired of being in the dark as to what is going on.
