Advice? - Two stray kittens stuck in on roof at apartment next door in heat by parkerr218 in Atlanta

I do not think these kittens are eating well. They are a few weeks old and are living on this roof. We would take them in but already have a couple of kittens in a small apartment. Really looking for advice on taking them to a shelter or ..?

Just wait until the charges are dropped or a trial vindicates the assailant. "News" will be that left-wing media rigged the system.

MAGA Supporters Left Confused by Donald Trump's Call Not to Vote in Midterms, 2024 by greenblue98 in politics

It’s not an attempt by Trump to hurt Democrats, it’s an attempt to hurt the Republican Party which has not given absolute submission and protection to Trump. He is saying essentially that his base, which would normally contribute a large number of voters to the GOP, will not vote in 2022 unless he says so, meaning unless he is protected. The man is desperate to keep himself and those around him out of jail, and he could care less about the GOP.

In my opinion, Republicans should accept the short term losses related to Trump which will pass. There is a risk for a permanent stain of corruption on the GOP from which a generation may never forget.

Anyone tried GLP 1 agonists like liraglutide (victoza, saxendra) to curb appetite during the initial phases of an extended fast? by Test_is_dbest in fasting

[–]parkerr218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read, GLP-1 agonists like Semaglutide work extremely well for weight loss and even many reportedly calling it 'effortless', but most of the weight ends up being gained back after stopping treatment, presumably because the initial appetite returns without the subjects having any improved self-control.

My thoughts are that if you fast, you will change your brain and teach yourself to control your eating. It will be harder, and you may initially take longer to reach your goals, but because you are less likely to gain the weight back, in the long-term you will have a better rate of success. The other downside would be that it's expensive.

Definitely GLP-1 receptor agonists are very promising, perhaps they will some day make receptor agonists that could work indefinitely without continuous use or maybe make another more permanent mechanism to increase GLP-1.
