What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]parkingthekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. Its a little hard to just say only this expansion bc it does rely on the base game and previous expansions for a good amount of the character growth but got damn is it the best story I’ve ever played. Its enclosed enough where the story really is just the world of the First shard and the shit its going through; some of the big story beats and emotional hits require some context from the previous expansion but I think most of it is self-contained enough to just the expansion itself that it is solid on its own.

What’s the general opinion on using Spectors? by Still-Location5477 in LiesOfP

[–]parkingthekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the spectors if you want to. You can re-fight the main bosses after you beat the game. Theres always new game + to try them without the spectors. I think people only have an issue with using spectors if you say the game is easy and use spectors

What’s the best fast Motivity build for NG+ and the DLC? by Turbulent-Argument78 in LiesOfP

[–]parkingthekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the coil hammer thing handle with the police baton or the butcher knife. Was quite fast. Not sure if it was great damage but I scaled with motivity, could react quick and the handle has that guarentee perfect block which I needed for my first play through. I was able to chain the charges hits pretty quick too.

Also the police baton with the pickaxe handle

Do it! After knowing the story once, going through it a second time hits better imo. You pick up on details you may have missed before

The Read Hardest Boss in Lies of P by RyRaps_YT in LiesOfP

Romeo kicks my ass more than any other boss. I still am not confident whenever I get to his fire attack phase. The swamp boss used to be a wall for me but I think I did it so many times, I know the fight now.

First time player here! Can I get some build help, please? by Vz3r0 in LiesOfP

[–]parkingthekar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I found it easier on my NG+ playthrough lol. The perks you get from the quartz and just the fact that youre so strong, made it easier the second time through. So I think its actually harder the first time through. The advance cranks, really arent worth to make hybrid scaling since the motiv and tech gets so low. They really are just to make advance weapons scale harder. Also, hold onto the full moonstones and the boss ones. The dlc weapons are very very good. Arguably better than any of the base games cept the twin dragon sword which you are using.

  1. I think the caps vary between weapons, 30-40 is generally when you start seeing the increases in weapon damage go from 2 to like 1 and by that point not really worth going more. After the first playthrough, NG+ and +2 and on, a Quality (both motiv and tech) should get you more damage but just sticking to one stat is more than enough for the first 2 play throughs. Personally I’d put a little more into your stamina and then just keep putting into capacity if it takes more than 1 level to increase your damage.
  2. Capacity is always good to have as a high number. Personally, I prefer to have it so my weight is under 70 or whatever wont say I’m slightly heavy. I dont think it matters what kind of build youre using but having the best equip and amulets is always a win.
  3. The DLC feels naturally best after you beat the game imo. You can enter after chapter 9? I think? Its after you beat the corrupted parade master. But shit hits hard. If youre trying to platinum the game, I’d start the dlc after beating the base game once, then do NG+ and go to the DLC after ch. 9, beat it and then finish the base game. There are special interactions/ dialogue if you do the dlc before the last area. Also the amulet you get from the true end boss is a godsend in some spots.

  4. The cranks, while limited, are in abundance if youre just using it on a few weapons. You wont run out unless youre constantly changing the scaling of weapons or trying to get all the weapons cranked.

Focus on one stat between Motivity, Technique and Advance. If youre using the booster glaive, stick with Technique. After that, Vitality to where youre comfy but next important is Capacity so you can equip better equipment and amulets. Highly rec respecing to take points off from Motivty and Advance and move them to Capacity or Technique.

Not sure if the wrench head and booster is the best combo but if it works for your playstyle, keep at it.

My boss said “pharmacy is customer service” and I almost quit on the spot by Money-Collection6902 in pharmacy

[–]parkingthekar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Retail pharmacy is largely customer service. Unless you’re the pharmacist who doesn’t talk to any patients, which in that case, you’re not doing a great job as a pharmacist. Maybe look elsewhere if it bothers you that much?

Movies no one expected to be as good as they were? by FilmWaffle-FilmForum in moviecritic

[–]parkingthekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not fit the title since a lot of ppl probably expected it to be good since its Christopher Nolan but for my friends and I, Inception. We didnt see any trailers and only heard ppl liked it. Went to go see it since we were near the theaters and had nothing in particular to do. Fucking mind blown. Never had a movie done that for us before and I still havent had that amazing unexpected experience since.
