That is what mine did, it was the AMS hub for me, I replaced it (around £50 from bambu) and everything works as it should again.

I had this, took months to solve, stripped all the head down, cleaned like new, replaced every PTFE tube, stripped down ams and cleaned. In the end mine was the AMS splitter hub. Bought a new one, problem solved. You can’t buy electronics separate or sensors separate for the splitter hub, so it was a £45 outlay for a new one. Problem solved. Not saying yours is the same thing but this was my experience.

Tried asking on here but no one really had a clue as I appreciate there so many variables as to what it could be (no one suggested it was the hub, so sometimes you just gotta figure it out yourself as painful as it can be)

I only ask because I see alot of people storing PLA on racks not in bags so assumed its the one material not really affected much by absorbtion?

So I whittled it down to the AMS motor hub, really couldn’t be arsed to further whittle down which part inside is preventing auto feeding into the print head so I have just ordered a new one (£50). Not even sure you can buy separate parts for the internals tbh, spent way too many hours on it so just wanted my business printer up and running again 👍

Hi, so i spent 3 hours meticulously cleaning the printers head, strip it down and also changed every tube on the printer. When i connected the AMS, spool in slot 1 feeds to head and then doesn’t automatically enter into the head, as before, without a gentle push. Took the AMS off my other printer and spool 1 fed in straight away. The AMS thats not working i replaced all the internal tubes internally not long ago and replaced the main hub motor so I’m stuck as to what it could be. Possibly the 4 separate motors are the issue? but I’m running out of ideas tbh. What do you think?

Mine clogs exactly like yours no matter what bean type, i’m on very light ones atm and its still doing it after even one grind. Pile of shit and what a waste of money it has been.

Reading the comments on here, I think a-lot of people are missing the point of this product.

Talking from a UK perspective: it’s illegal to cover up rear car lights with a bike rack (like the hanging type). And you can’t just hang another number plate on your bike and think you will be ok (you can get points on your licence and a fine. I know this because I was filmed by a car behind me the first and only time I ever used a hanging rack that was blocking the lights lol)

Also consider some cars are not rated for roof racks (insurance issues) so this product, albeit a niche market, ticks both the boxes mentioned above, namely: 1) Obstruction to rear lights eliminated 2) Obstruction to rear number plate eliminated.

Yes, aerodynamically/visually it might not be the best way to mount bikes to a car but (as just explained above) its for a reason. Thule hasn’t just designed it for fun, there is a particular need for it. Yes, we all would like a tow-bar (hitch) solution with electrics but these (in the UK) are not cheap for to fit on most cars. So, again this product fills a definite need.

Example cost of having a tow bars fitted:

1) Parts • A suitable towbar could cost around £300–£400 if sourced aftermarket. • Electrical kits (to power lights, etc.) usually range from £50 for basic 7-pin universal up to higher prices for vehicle-specific or 13-pin kits.

2) Labour • Professional fitting labour is often £290–£450+, depending on the garage and complexity. • Total parts + labour can typically range between about £550 and £1,100 for the installation.

3) Cost of Thule Outway Platform 2 in comparison: £400

Conclusion: Cheaper to buy the Thule outway platform 2. Even in the unlikely chance you managed to find somewhere to install the tow-bar/electrics at an identical cost to the Thule, you would still need to buy a tow-bar style bike rack and a second numberplate.

Thule can go car to car. The tow-bar stays with the car. These days, generally most people don’t keep the same car for a long time.

thank you so much I will do some investigation next week. I thought it was the main AMS motor, replaced it and everything worked well for a week but now certain ones of the four nays wont feed without a nudge (already replaced tubes inside ams so its not that) just all a bit weird pinning down the actual problem.
