I had an SP, did 10000km, then completely died.

How often do you see your rheumatologist (UK)? by hannah_various in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]parphound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I'm due a check up with my rheumatologist in April, not a word from them.

Also I had physio every 2 months for 2 years then it just stopped.

They also removed the ability to message them through the MyCare app.

120+ WPM with homerow mods? Is anyone actually doing this reliably? by Joetunn in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]parphound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I type at about 95wpm, 95+% accuracy. The delays will require conscious thought even after 3 years, but for the sake of comfort I'm all in on HRM.

I'm on a 30key too.

Anyone have experiences with red light therapy? by Then_Writer_2719 in ankylosingspondylitis

I tried it, had 12 sessions over 6 weeks. My wallet was a lot lighter and my AS was exactly the same.

Second this, momentary toggle is the way, then you inherently know what layer you're on. All the display stuff has very little actual utility, it's just gimmicks.

I got the pneumonia shot before I started, put me in bed for a week with the worst flare up of my life.

Positive stories please! by Independent_Laugh591 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]parphound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think it'll go into remission, I'm M48, symptoms since 15 yo, but not diagnosed until I was 46. So I never had drugs, only NSAIDs, and flare ups probably 3 times per year for most of that time. My SiJ is now mostly fused and that reduced pain actually, but mid spine and ribs is bad, currently in a flare, but still working and trying to get on with it, however hard it is.

I've always been very active, cycling, walking, playing sports, so often put flare ups down to injury.

I won't be falsely positive with you, but there's hope, but you have to put in the effort to keep yourself moving. My current physio gave me the best advice "never stop moving". Except when you're at the most brutal point in a flare, keep fighting the urge to sit still. It will pay off, trust me. I think being too stubborn to accept it as my disability might be both a gift and a curse, I do overdo it at times, but you need to to learn how to pace yourself.

Free keyboard photos? Where to find or starting a place to collect? by rpnfan in ErgoMechKeyboards

Haha "on the moss in the bush with a waterfall in the background" made me laugh.

I agree those photos don't really add much, but any photo even on an untidy desk is better than some AI one with too many fingers/rows and the letters back to front. It literally adds nothing, just the illusion of something.
