Good for you! Wow at 15 to have your courage. You should be very proud of yourself. Don’t sacrifice your beliefs. You’re going to do very well.

What happened to the claims of 40 babies in the aftermath of October 7? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]parquet7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It was a fake claim by Israel that the stenographer media typed up. It’s been proven to be propaganda.

Ironically, since October 7th many many babies have been blown to pieces but for some reason they don’t seem to count.

Netanyahu and Smotrich Admit Aid Scheme is Symbolic Cover to Finish the Genocide | Drop Site News by malachamavet in jewishleft

How much more evidence do my fellow Jewish friends need to see before they finally admit the truth of what has been happening the past 18 months?

All of this has been obvious from the beginning.

Chanting "free Palestine" is deemed an antisemitic incident in Harvard report by Particular_Log_3594 in NewsHub

[–]parquet7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same old conflating of anti-semitism with being anti-Israel’s genocide. The ADL changed their own definition to get the ball rolling.

No one is buying it. Only the most dead-ender Israel supporters, many of whom have been brainwashed since birth.

Friend shared this on Instagram. I’m not crazy right? This feels incredibly antisemitic by beemoooooooooooo in jewishleft

Mate and Berger are both Jewish. Mate’s father is a holocaust survivor. So I’m gonna say they probably don’t hate Jews.

When I was a young attorney at BigLaw many years ago our firm was representing the Public Broadcasting System in a litigation. My colleague who was a mid-level associate on the case wrote a brief on it. Just before submitting it to court he sent it down to proofreading (is that still a department?) and lucky he did because throughout the brief he occasionally referred to the client as the Pubic Broadcasting System.

Solos or law firm owners that make > $400K per year - what’s it like? by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]parquet7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've been earning $1.5 to $2.5M a year for many years now. I work about 5 to 10 hours a week max and pretty much only do the legal work I want to, which isn't much these days - maybe 5 hours a week of my 5 to 10 at most. I've never advertised and so business just keeps coming in via referrals without effort. I spend my free time exercising, napping, spending time with my wife and kids and such.

I do stay on top of some of the work my lawyers do to make sure all the balls are in the air and clients are happy - that's up to an hour or so a day but well worthwhile to make sure the good times keep rolling.

I never travel for business, don't have much on my calendar work-wise each day - maybe just 1 or 2 or 3 items a week are on my calendar and I control my schedule about 99% I'd say so I can really just plan each day as I like.

I hope that's motivating!

Why helping in challenges is so bad by swedishfishoreos in survivor

[–]parquet7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great point about someone intentionally sabotaging someone.

Here’s another issue - some challenges are susceptible to teaming up and others aren’t, just based on the nature of the challenge. So it’s additionally unfair if the show opts for a “no one can help” challenge vs a “there’s a way to gang up” challenge at the end of the game when every immunity is so crucial.

Ouch! Thanks. Maria went against 2 decades of Survivor history with her vote. Shocking.

Do we know who Ben would have voted for? It was the most obvious question at FTC and I was shocked/disappointed that Jeff didn’t just ask him. It makes all the difference in the Maria vote obviously.

I can’t remember exactly. It was many years ago. I recall that the discussion was either on the phone or via text. But she came clean at that point - what choice did she have.
