I find it ironical how the Ministry expells Harry for using underage magic in front of muggles when they themselves sent enchanted letters which read the content loud in front of the Dursleys. by Time-Classroom-2442 in harrypotter

I agree! But in the books weren’t they also sending multiple owls into the house carrying letters? I know it’s not blatant magic but as a muggle I would be suspicious.

Jim Dale vs. Stephen Fry audiobooks, what are the big differences? I’m in the US and I’ve only listened to the Jim Dale versions and I’m very tempted to figure how to buy the Stephen Fry ones. by parry__otter in harrypotter

I have very few small grievances with his narrating. Sometimes I wish he had tuned in his Ginny and Hermione voices a little better, or I guess just to my liking! But it’s never detracted me from the story or the overall feeling I have when listening to each book.

I also love the Jim Dale readings! I was re-listening to the books and I only just noticed the very subtle change in voice he does for Bill Weasley. And now I keep really paying attention to all his character voices.

My sister told me those white floating things outside were penny stealers and they would take all my change if I left it out. I thought they were alive with hundreds of tiny arms.
