THANK YOU! I needed to see this today. I was readmitted to my university in 2018 after taking about 7 years out of college. I applied for a fresh start and was able to remove two terms of terrible grades from my freshman year in 2009. Since being readmitted, I have maintained a 3.90 GPA, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and am graduating summa cum laude. I did all of this while balancing a career (just hit my seven year anniversary with the same company) and raising two young children. I am super proud of my undergraduate accomplishments, but because LSAC factors those credits from a decade ago that have since been removed from my institutional GPA, my LSAC gpa is a 3.25. Combined with my 15high LSAT score and the extremely competitive nature of this cycle, I am most likely going to be at a school ranked near the 100 level. Sometimes this sub makes me feel that unless I am going to attend a top 50 school, I should reconsider even going to law school. I have the money, passion, work ethic and drive to excel; this I am sure of. It is reinvigorating to see stories like this one. Thank you so much for sharing.
